"With a sequential read speed of 200 megabytes per second and sequential write speed of 160MBps, Samsung is claiming some of the fastest SSD data transfer rates to date."

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
I wonder if apple is all upset about this now. They could have tagged on an extra $1,500 to the MacBook Air.
I wonder if this will work with the PS3... It is a 2.5" SATA drive ... that would PWN ALL....
I still don't like the idea of SSDs. They are faster, lighter and use less power, but if you use programs that write data constantly, they don't live too long. Until they fix that, I'll stick to the good old HDDs.
Interesting concept. Except for the SSDs that are flash memory based. Flash always has an inherent instability and can easily corrupt data stored on it, so while flash based SSDs are not prone to mechanical failure, it's capacity can still be corrupted and erased. The DRAM based drives, on the other hand, would be much more stable.
I think the only thing which saves HDDs from data corruption in case of abrupt disconnection or powerfailure is the buffers. If these drives come equipped with 16mb or 32 mb buffers than the data corruption would be minimized. Havn't read the article yet so forgive me if they touched on the buffer issue.
