VR vs. Multiplayer

VRFocus - 2013 marked the end of a long cycle of videogame consoles. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 were both available for over 7 years before being succeeded by the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One respectively. Looking back, it’s easy to see where this HD era of consoles made the biggest impact; multiplayer. Yes, both systems were capable of stunning-looking blockbusters, but their online services undoubtedly changed the industry forever. Single-player-only titles are becoming rarer and rarer while online-centric experiences such as Call of Duty and Battlefield have become sales-driving behemoths, with many players not even touching the campaign elements of such titles.

i know dont touch solo campaign unless im really bored or ps network is down, otherwise i mostly buy games for multiplayer unless its sports games or last of us, games that are catered to solo more than multi, but i think shooter games are more focused on multi.

Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.

I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

That’s because it’s his favourite VR adventure games thus far, a great game always a great game regardless of age - Half life 2/ Ocarina of time - are old but still among the greatest games of all time. The irony of it is several are from last year, depending on platform, have you even played VR?
