Ubisoft outlines 2008/2009 titles

Wondering what Ubisoft has up their sleeves for the next fiscal year? Well, look no further than the list below.

Far Cry 2, Brothers in Arms, Splinter Cell, Anno, Prince of Persia, Haze, HAWX, End War, Shaun White, and three unannounced titles.

Of course, there may be more than this…but this is what Ubisoft is willing to discuss at this time.

all those generic crap are coming from UBI

splinter cell is delayed to 2009

poor UBI and their crappy games

etownone6578d ago

Far Cry is one of my fav games of all time.
I first played it on PC.

I'm expecting Far Cry 2 to be just as good.

Too many must have games this year.
Staw Wars, Dead Space, Aliens, Fallout 3 and Far Cry 2
and Too Human and Gears 2.
already bought GTA4, R6V2, and Frontlines this year.

Thats 10 games in one year, more than enough for me.

may be End War. bleh to the rest. If End War is to the Tom Clancy series that COD4 was to the COD series count me in!

Hububla6578d ago

Endwar will be one of the best games comming out this fall! after resistance 2 i mean! but its finally doing something new! Finally a RTS game designed around consoles! Plus the online multi-player is gunna be some of the best online goin nowadays! a persistent online WW3! anyone who hasn't read up on this game should do so! you get to keep your units from previous battles even if you lose (as long as ur smart and tell them to retreat instead of letting them die) and you can use that exp to upgrade them and use them in the next battles! its like the first RTSMMO ever for consoles! Bring it on baby! European Union FTW! Cant wait for October!

P.S. Im Canadian but i refuse to play as the Americans because.. well you know...

"Be creative 99% of the time" – Glen Schofield on how creativity can help fix AAA industry woes

I don't agree with that. I WISH I could agree with that. But buying habits and customer opinions prove otherwise

We've seen developers in the AAA space try new things and ideas. More often than not, the customers aren't willing to give things a chance, or not enough people buy into the project for it to grow.

Creativity works better in the indie space because the budgets, pressures, and expectations aren't the same.

Scissorman42d ago

it's a nice idea and it worked during the PS2/PS3-era when AAA didn't cost hundreds of millions of dollars. smaller budgets and shorter development time left room for more creativity and more risk. a game didn't need to sell 4 million+ copies to break even. things are different now.

This is the guy who bragged about crunching his staff and having them work through the night. Crunch culture has lost more talent and done more damage to the industry than any other factor. Screw him.
