Rely on Horror, T. Rivard writes: "There’s a new kind of game on the survival horror horizon – the post-apocalyptic MMO. On the surface, games like DayZ, State of Decay, RUST and the recently announced H1Z1 (see what they did there?) sound like they’d be loads of fun, something to put the survival back in survival horror, right? But leave it to RoH’s Negative Nancy to chime in and point out its flaws."
Rust's naval update has added boat building to the survival sandbox, allowing players to sail to a dangerous deep sea.

DayZ's latest console update seems tiny, but datamined files reveal what Bohemia is really preparing for 2026. Here's what players missed.

And festive events, exclusive skins and plenty of true Rust chaos await throughout December.
easy, no fair collective of talent or budget.
Not every game can be a creampuff MMORPG. If you want to play a fair and balanced game, play something that isn't channeling the spirit of The Walking Dead.
I love the tension of not knowing how a PC is going to react. Will he try and kill me? Will he help me? Should I run or fight?
You're gonna have to put on your big boy pants for this game.
"And in H1Z1, it almost seems like players will be rewarded for being unmitigated assholes, like getting ‘ganked by other players’ is a key component of game play."
So your bit**ing about getting ganked? Lol so what do u want others online to do, hold your hand so u dont get ganked? Lol if there is a pve/pvp option maybe u should stay your azz in pve since u hate getting ganked lol. This game is going to be tons of fun. Cant wait to play it.
I honestly havnt seen enough of H1Z1 to give me confidence itll be anything different from a DayZ clone.
I hope it is good, DayZ is boring as hell, but right now I am not seeing it.
We have barely heard anything, yet we're already hearing murmurs of it being generic and identical to DayZ... Hm
