Bungie Weekly Update 4/11/14

This week at Bungie, we trained up some new Guardians.

There are times when I get to feel like a mentor in the Tower. When we meet new allies that will help us bring Destiny to the world, the pleasure of teaching them the ways of the Guardian falls to me. They receive a flash lesson in equipping some weapons and gear. I show them how to harness their Light to power fantastic talents of destruction. Once they know how to take their first steps, we strike out on a dangerous mission.

I’m not going to tease you with the insistence that they had a wonderful time – and, oh my goodness, if you only you could have seen what they have seen! There’s no point in trying to make their excitement contagious. Your time will come, weekly reader. You’ll make up your own mind about your Destiny. Bungie knows its community well enough to understand that your curiosities can only be satisfied by your own adventures.

I Just pre ordered the game on amazon and registered for the beta! Can't wait to try this baby out whenever that is! Everything about this game so far excites me, and I'm not even the biggest MMO fan.

Its neat especially since not everyone might have two friends playing it. Makes it more personal to go at in duos.

It's 2026 and basic match making features in MP games are still being drip fed to an audience that still gets excited over said basic feature being implemented.

Marathon hands-on preview | Notebookcheck

Almost 16,000 reviews on Steam currently has the game sitting on a very positive 90% Not sure if it has the player numbers but those who are playing seem to be enjoying themselves.

And as of now a 5.1 user score on metacritic. Really bad.

LiViNgLeGaCY80d ago

On Steam, you have to have bought the game, in order to play. On metacritic, ANYONE can review it. I'll leave it for you to decide which one matters more.

Trolls on Metacritic, must be a new thing or you were born yesterday

The game is really really bad. So generic boring and lifeless. UI is terrible. Bad and slow gameplay. Not sure who gives the go ahead for these games. Insane all that money companies just throw away for no reason. Nobody a asking for these games

LiViNgLeGaCY80d ago

You haven't played it. That much is apparent from your comment. Gameplay is FAR from slow and boring. I do agree the UI definitely needs to be re-worked. But then again, you're just repeating a complaint you're reading about, not actually experiencing.

MrNinosan79d ago

Can you show any proof you've actually played it, by sharing your PSN ID or Steam profile? Nah, guessed as much.

Gunplay is the best thing about the game. To call it bad is wrong. Just because it isn't a twitch shooter doesn't mean it's slow, not everything has to play the same. Everything else is generic I agree.

Flenter79d ago

Yes I am. But tell me ,with goty games do you play? Have you even played Marathon? If not ...S T F U!!
So sick and tired of the hate BS 🤮🤮
