GearNuke: "Tribute Games have released a new patch for Mercenary Kings on the PS4. This new patch has plenty of fixes resolved, so if you are still having issues with random game crashes in Mercenary Kings, make sure to download this patch."

Montreal-based developer Canari Games has announced their first title on Kickstarter, Lunark. Currently there is an estimated release window of April 2020.

This 2D shoot ‘em up is a mashup of Metal Slug and Monster Hunter. The story goes as follows: scientists were creating a bio-regenerating formula on a remote island when the chief engineer was kidnapped by Baron and his CLAW forces. A team with royal sounding code names were sent to rescue him. However, only your character and another survived the attempt. The deaths of your comrades are quite gruesome and portrayed vividly in pixel styled cutscenes.
Huh! A free upgrade to the previous ps4 version. Just redownloaded it again, acts like an update. Pretty amazeballs.

Chad writes: "By looking at the Mercenary Kings screenshots it’s easy to assume that it’ll be a Metal Slug copycat - and you would be right about that, the games are definitely similar in appearance. The gameplay, on the other hand, is vastly different: Mercenary Kings plays like Mega Man in a less linear environment."
I'm glad they fixed the invite issue. Also adding a star next to each mission indicating that you completed it with the fastest time was a good idea.
I've been loving this game, so much so I've been pushing through the bugs. The boss crash caused me to have to play through the level 7 times because it would crash back to the dash but finally got passed it. Glad to see they are fixing the bugs, really wish they would fix load times and sound stutter that occasionally happens.
Great game!
Finally!
Even with all it's random glitches and problems. This game has been great fun with friends. I have replayed the first rank missions over and over again because I have been walking my friends through the game. I'm really glad they patched the crashes. I couldn't play certain missions with friends without it crashing at the exact same spot every time. Awesome game to grind at with friends.
Nice, I just beat it yesterday. This game really surprised me, it was a ton of fun. But, the crashing, is this something that happens more online or something? I only played solo and had a few crashes from time to time, but for other players is it a lot?
