In the latest issue of Famitsu, the magazine shared details about several rumours currently making the rounds in Japan. Yes Megaton!

Its been a long time coming! I believe Nintendo will be a sleeping giant this E3 just you watch.

Abash4435d ago

Was anyone NOT expecting this? I mean with Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros. Wii U releasing this year, Zelda needs to be one of the big Wii U games for 2015. There's no way it can miss this E3

AngelicIceDiamond4435d ago (Edited 4435d ago )

@Bash

I agree they can't miss E3 this year. Maybe Last year was passable due to next gen and not enough content from Nintendo at the time.

But they had another year to plan out everything so Nintendo will bring the thunder this year.

New Ip also in the works. http://www.nintendolife.com...

If everything works out Super Smash, New ip's Zelda, Metroid Kirby Tease then I might make that jump to pick up a Wii U as well as many, many others.

weekev154435d ago

Did they not already say they were definitely showing it at this years e3? Im sure they said they could have shown it at last years e3 and had considered it.

Even though its expected....is anyone not excited for it? Zelda in HD....Drools

HavokPants4434d ago

funny enouth this was said by eji aounuma him self last year in a press conference for a link between worlds and said this e3

randomass1714429d ago

Funny how people forget so easily.

IamTheStorm814435d ago

I sure hope so. I am banking on Nintendo bringing back Zelda in a hell of a good and big way, as well as demonstrating the influence the Wii U Gamepad can have on gameplay/inventory/navigation, finally proving why this controller was invented and included in the first place.

So pumped for E3 2014!

mcstorm4435d ago

I agree and I also think this e3 is going to be one of the best for gamers as Nintendo are looking like they will have some big ip's. Microsoft are looking to come back with a bang ESP with the new guy in charge and I'm also expecting some big names from Sony too.

For me if anything the 3rd party developers are going to have to bring some impressive games if they want to be noticed with the 1st partys this e3.

iplay1up24434d ago (Edited 4434d ago )

Look at how Nintendo used the gamepad in Wind Waker HD, I think its pretty cool. Your map and weapons switching and assigning all with a swipe, and no pause. People who hate on the Wii U have not sat down and given it a shot in the past 6 months.

There is no way the game will come out this year, but Hyrule Warriors will be, so that should be interesting.

randomass1714435d ago

Fingers crossed for Nintendo to actually be at E3 this time. Directs are awesome but I really want them to be up there with the big dogs.

Vegamyster4435d ago

The directs when they work are great but i find that they lag most of the time, i want them at E3 to see peoples reactions.

randomass1714435d ago

Very much agreed on both accounts. Try using their YouTube streams when they host Directs. Those are generally less laggy.

Blackleg-sanji4435d ago

this isnt a rumor its been stated several times already that its been ready to be shown they just didnt want to take spotlight away from the 3ds zelda he said it in an interview

heliotropic4435d ago

I just hope it isn't 2D. I'm starting to wonder if Nintendo will ever actually make a legit 3D game on the Wii U with large environments and lots of stuff to explore. So far they've been pretty content to just release linear updates to Wii and 3DS titles. Hopefully this will buck the trend.

KonsoruMasuta4435d ago (Edited 4435d ago )

"I just hope it isn't 2D."

Have you played any of the recent Zelda games?

heliotropic4435d ago

Yes. Skyward Sword's issues had nothing to do with the fact that it was 3D. Do you want Nintendo to just abandon 3D game design? Seems stupid to release a fairly powerful HD console if you're just going to keep designing games with linear levels and 2D-based gameplay. Might as well just stick to handhelds.

What does this have to do with Zelda and when did I suggest I wanted Nintendo to abandon 3D games design?

Fact of the matter is, most of the Zelda games are far from linear.

heliotropic4435d ago

It has to do with the Wii U. Whether you realize it or not, you implied that the new Zelda should be in 2D. I'm saying that it would be a huge waste of the Wii U's potential to develop a 2D Zelda for it. Nintendo has already saturated the Wii U market with 2D games, and even their 3D Mario game has much more in common with the 2D games than titles like Mario 64 and Sunshine. I'm just waiting to see what Nintendo can really do with the Wii U when they go all in on a large-scale 3D game.

Neonridr4434d ago

@heliotropic - I think you are confused. You are the one who brought up Zelda being 2D, not KonsoruMasuta. The last "2D" Zelda game on a home console was a Gamecube release for the Zelda Four Swords game.

"Nintendo has already saturated the Wii U market with 2D games". ??????. Can you name me a few of these Nintendo 2D games aside from New Super Mario Bros U?

millzy1024435d ago

You might want to look up monolith soft x that's an open world Nintendo game in developmen and I'm pretty sure the Wii u Zelda will be in 3d, just for you.

weekev154435d ago

Fairly certaib it wont be 2d/top down. Im sure I read somewhere that the scale of this Zelda is gonna be so huge that you can fit all of hyrule from OOT in the forest temple. Could just be a wild rumour but still.

How about the original Legend of Zelda remade with the Echoes of Wisdom engine. Maybe throw in added dungeons, or expand the map to make the game longer than the original.

meganick70d ago

A Zelda 1 remake would be great, but not with the Echoes of Wisdom art style. I find it unappealing.

Neonridr69d ago

I'd even suggest a Link to the Past as well. Would love a more modern HD look using the Links Awakening / Echoes engine.

jreeves8270d ago

I would like Twilight Princess HD for Switch or Switch 2.

A movie trailer, or nothing if Mario's was anything to go by

Link Should Talk, but Choose His Words Carefully in The Legend of Zelda Movie

Link should have a voice in The Legend of Zelda Movie. While he mostly stays quiet in the games, he canonically does speak but usually holds back on expressing his thoughts. In a movie format, it is better for the character and the story itself that Link speaks.

I just hope it's not a bunch MCU Snarky McJokeface dialog. Started playing veilguard free on PSN (would not recommend) and it's a perfect example of how dialog in contemporary entertainment is garbage.

Relientk77427d ago

It's gonna be Chris Pratt again lol

I'd love a Zelda 2 remake/redo.
