Controller That Can Read Players’ Emotions

For a while now, the goal in the video gaming community has been to increase and improve interactive gaming. Not just for the players, but for the advancement in technology. We have only gotten so far with the next-gen consoles. However, we can always make something better; that includes finding ways for the player to have more interactivity with their consoles. If I wore the while playing The Last of Us it would break.

What if you have no emotions? :|

Then medically speaking you're a psychopath?

This makes me think of those mood rings that 'show what emotion'. Silly unneeded gimmick.

Good, now they can sense how angry gamers get when they sell us unfinished, broken games and then sell us 'dlc' instead of fixing what should have been working in the first place.

lol I'm so bitter these days :D

This is pretty interesting, reminds me of a cool project I was lucky enough to get my hands on once, Sensum it was called. Basically a strap you could wear and it read your galvanic sensory response to media you were shown and wirelessly uploaded and translated that data. Would be cool to see this as an accessory to the PS4, would be great for games like Outlast or The Last of Us. You should check it out, really interesting stuff.

I'd rather use the DS4 with an accessory than a whole new controller.

You can get Hall effect controllers slightly cheaper, but you'd struggle to find as feature-rich a package without some heavy, heavy sales.
