Pixel Critique's month-long look back at the games that defined 2004 rolls on by paying tribute to a superhero game that showed us there were no limits.

No new games in the Top Ten as EA Sports FC 26 reclaims the top spot.
Wait, Kirby made less revenue than Spidey2?? How many units did Spidey2 sold? or how few copies have Kirby sold? Astonishing
Superhero games have been around for a long time before the PS2, but it felt like Sony’s second console was when developers really started to play around with the powers and abilities of the characters we’ve seen in movies, TV shows and comic books.
Just beat the Punisher game from the Marvel Capcom Arcade Collection last night, couch co-op with a buddy. That was fun.
Spider-Man 2 was life back then. I used to swing around New York and powerbomb thugs off of skyscrapers. Other than that I played Ultimate Alliance a lot as well as Hulk Ultimate Destruction.

The production values are top-notch across the board. If you are looking to play the ultimate version of Spider-Man 2, this is it.
The first good superhero game.
Sure, it got repetitive, the graphics sucked etc, but web slinging around New York and trying to go as fast as you can was unforgettable.
I think this game paved the way for games like Infamous and the Batman Arkham series.
Still the best web swinging in a spiderman game EVER!
One of the best games ever. The spiderman franchise had so much potential after this. Then activision decided otherwise.
y hasn't a hd upgraded version of this been made yet!!
The pc version of this game sucked really hard.
