This article will show you how to connect a Wii, PS3, PS2, and Xbox 360 to an HDTV via component AND a LCD computer monitor via VGA at the same time. Both displays will show the exact same thing. The sweet thing about this setup is that you will not have to unplug or switch any wires when you want to use a particular display.
At some point you may find yourself wanting to have ALL your game consoles (PS3, XBOX 360, Wii etc.) hooked up to multiple displays at once. In my case I wanted to be able to run my game consoles on my computer LCD display in my office in addition to my HDTV in the Living room. I noticed that hardly any game websites go into ways to pimp your gaming setup so this is the first of a new series on this site about how to configure a killer gaming setup.
The idea of having my consoles on multiple displays first started when my mom came in town to visit me and took over my TV. I was bored and really wanted to play Halo 3. As I looked at my LCD computer monitor while surfing the internet in the next room it became clear that my next project would be to have my consoles hooked up to both displays without having to change out any wires. Then about a week later Ikaruga was released and I thought about how great it would be if I could play it on my computer LCD which is easier to rotate or "tate." So, thats where the idea came from. On to the fun part…
The thought of buying VGA cables for each console sucked and would get pricey so I ruled that out. Also running all the extra VGA wires and switching between the component for the "big" HDTV and VGA cables for my computer display did not sound ideal. I had all my consoles (Xbox 360, Wii etc.) already connected to my HDTV via component cables so I set out to get a component to VGA converter so I would not have to swap cables on the console every time I wanted to play on my computer LCD display. There are many ways to do it but this is how I rigged my setup. The graphic above shows the full setup and components but be sure to read the rest for important details.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.
