Gamemoir's Nick D. takes a look at inFamous Second Son and why the series’ trademark morality system doesn’t work anymore.

From Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Batman: Arkham City to breakout hit Dispatch and new Marvel Cosmic Invasion, these are 10 of the best superhero games you can play today.

Huzaifah from eXputer writes, "My favorite type of genre in games is when enemies are merely animal fodder in the eyes of the protagonist's sheer power."

Fans of the action-adventure franchise have been eagerly awaiting news of a potential sequel to one of the best games on the PS4.
Umm ... how about this?
First we get the Tushima sequel(coz its most rumored)
Then a new Resistance (need new PS SP FPS)
Then a totally new IP (new IPs are always interesting)
And then a new inFamous?
I had a great time with the second son. Never got to play the originals and hope they get remastered one day.
If I had a choice between another Infamous game and another Spider-Man game, I choose Spider-Man. Sony should spend its resources on its winners.
Agreed, I think they should just have the player play as two characters, the hero and the infamous villain. So you kinda fight yourself in each play through.
Most of the time it seems completely out of character for Delsin to commit evil acts. Why would he ever kill innocent civilians on purpose, there needs to be a catalyst. Plus it's equally (or more) interesting to see how a good character goes from normal to evil.
There's more emotional impact when you can sympathize or at least understand why the villain is that way.
Fair enough.. Good argument.. Thats probably why most people play Delsin as a good guy, seeing he already shows emotion towards those he loves. The only time I ever really wanted to kill someone was after that horrible thing happened in the game when he should've listened to his brother.. Not spoiling anything there...
The rest just felt like the character is supposed to be portrayed in a positive light.
I hope more games move away from the ''Paragon and Renegade'' system. In many cases it just doesn't work out, and it's just there with little purpose. Sure, there can be Beyond Good and Evil games too, but i doubt they'll reach Kefka level.
It worked great for KOTOR and Mass Effect just off the top of my head. But yeah with games like infamous Delsin is already portrayed as a good person in the cutscenes and it would be entirely out of character for him to be evil.
I can where this view point is coming from, but I don't think that means we have to ditch the entire system. I think it's more about the writing/dialog. I mean if they had taken the approach of "power corrupts" and with every new power Delsin either struggles to maintain him or goes deeper and deeper, then much like mass effect, certain choices get blocked out if you're too far on one end of the spectrum.
Only addition I'd make is a grey area for people who don't want to eat or kiss babies. Some of us just want to say "cute kid" and move on.
All in all I still like the morality system. It's kind of like watching Immanuel Kant and John Stuart mill fighting for delsin's soul
