Five Games Series That Should Continue As Comics

Some game series lay dormant, making it worse if they end on a cliff-hanger or show a great deal of potential. There is also no shortage of awful comic tie-ins, designed to suck money from the wallets of the unaware.

Will looks at five games series that should continue as comics that would be (hopefully) worth reading.

I'd definitely be interested in games turning into comics, and not just as spin-offs. I think it could work for quite a few, really.

Maybe if there was a Beyond Good & Evil comic I'd get over Ubisoft taking FOREVER to make a sequel...

Resistance comics and Metal Gear comics are/were awesome!

I'd buy Darksiders comics in a heartbeat!

No. What will wind up happening is that most of the story will be kept out of the game for the sake of the book/novel. Don't believe me? Go look at Halo. You barely have a story in Halo because 90%-80% of it is in the novels. That allows the game maker to make extra money on the franchise without you getting a proper story.

If this was a better world, and game makers and publishers weren't in a "screw gamers" mentality when it comes to our money than I'd say yes. But that's not how it is.

That's funny, mostly because I find the opposite. The majority of game comics I have read are tacked on pieces of crap.

Also, either I'm misunderstanding your intent or you didn't actually read the article. It was written assuming that these game series won't be continuing, so the only avenue to finish the story would be through a comic, not alongside the games.
