Alien: Isolation release date set for October 7

Alien: Isolation will release on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC on October 7, Creative Assembly has announced.

Aliens CM was great... poor graphic but game very good...

@ Mikefizzled - ok say me what is bad on Aleins CM...

graphic ? ok but gameplay is very good... my opinion ...

Terrible AI's, horrible set pieces, shallow characters, the trash ending, the FACT THAT IT'S A TIE-IN, and pretty buggy.

Oh look an Alien game meant to answer all those questions and make Alien 3 a good movie, oh wait NVM it made it even more trash.

You can't really screw up gameplay (IT WAS BUGGY)of a FPS, i
t's basiclaly just copy and paste ur template from another game and plop it in. The gameplay isn't anything to make this game bounds better then it was, since it plays like any FPS.

And INB4 You say "you aren't a fan and wouldn't understand" I platinum this f'n game, I forced myself to do it because it was an Alien game. I've watched and own all the films and read the books and such.

Kudos to anyone that ponied up anything Over $0 for that POS game called Aliens:Colonial Marines! I'm not really big on FPS's but I know a good one when I play it, Colonial Marine was broken beyond repair, even worse than HAZE, I only played 30 minutes of this game after a friend said he was gonna trade it. I thought review outlets couldn't be right, and that they were just cynical, but low and behold, this game really was as bad as they said...

I do however trust Creative Assembly, and I wanna get my scare on with Aliens... Since I'm a fan if the IP.

So I'll remain optimistic since Gearbox isn't working on this game.

Luckily we don't have Randy Pitchford this time. Colonial Marines was still always going to be a dudebro squad shooter with underdeveloped story and characters.

I can sense the authentic Alien atmosphere on this one. It reeks Alien, and the fact that it cuts back on combat and has more of lo-fi exploratory vibe is a very good early sign. The backstory and characters looks to be very well thought out, and not just filler. Alien was just as much about the story, characters and universe than the combat, and it seems the devs just really get that.

I may be getting ahead of myself, but i don't think we need to tie the mistakes and deceit of Gearbox Software, to the promising vision of Creative Assembly.

Just a side-note: I really hope they consider Project Morpheus on this one.

Dude I couldn't agree with you more! Morpheus would be a beast for Alien Isolation. Imagine if everyone on Ustream/Twitch watching someone playing Alien Isolation, all have VR headsets? They all could enjoy the VR experience with the person playing! They see through the eyes of the player.

Aliens: CM was made by Gearbox, the Borderlands people who used Sega's money towards Borderlands 2 instead of using it for Aliens: CM.

Alien Isolation is being made by a completely different company. I don't even know why you're even comparing the two...

I feel the same way man, I mean, I WANT to be excited for it, but from what I hear about Colonial Marines, I don't want my hopes up again. Even if it is good I feel like I'll just wait until it's cheap, fall is becoming super busy game wise as it is.

Despite the money Sega allocated Gearbox, Aliens CM looked very low budget visually. The game play was way too buggy & generic also.

But I got confidence in Alien Isolation.

idk how i feel about this. especially since their charging almost full price for this. i liked outlast cause it was 4 to 6hrs for only $20 and that game was scary as hell.

They've already said in an inerview it's going to be a 10-12 hour game worth a 60$ purchase in my book game looks amazing exactly what I want from an alien game

yes, but its only one alien. plus combat is minimal in the game. yes outlast doesn't have any but that game is about 4 to 6 hrs though. running from one alien for 10 to 12hrs to me would get tiring after a bit.

Not really tiring, but there is also exploration and traps in there too. Its not just hide and seek mechanics like Outlast. If Alien Isolation is very successful, I expect a Predator type game with the same mechanics.

I think this will have more replay value and of course a higher budget. The difference between this game and Outlast will be the AI. In Outlast the AI had a set path. In this game the Alien will do different things each playthrough so it will be more diverse.

Just watched a game-play demo of this. Not only is it NOTHING like Colonial Marines, it's a first person survival horror (in the vein of Amnesia and Outlast)! 100% sold!
