Rumour: Razer Developing Its Own VR Tech

T1 - The virtual reality world is blowing up right now. Facebook bought Oculus VR for $2bn, Minecraft creator Notch wasn’t best pleased, and now there’s a massive hint that peripheral manufacturer Razer is creating its own device.

Update: Razer source tells T1, "Razer do not have any comment on this at this current time."

Ohhh go Razer. I don't often get on with their products to be honest (love my Tiamat though), but I appreciate what they stand for.

you should really try the Razer Naga is you ever get the chance too. its great. 3-5 buttons is sooo oldschool now :D

Not a naga fan. I love my extra mouse buttons, but not all under the thumb.

Logitech g700s at the moment. Buttons seemed well thought out until I actually bought and tried it. Oh well.

i thought the same way aswell... before i tried it.
you should really try it someway.
alot of stores here let you test all their gear and such on their gaming laptops over here.
or if you know a friend that have one.
its not just for MMO's heck i dont even play that many MMO's. mostly MOBA's and FPS game and RPG games like Skyrim :D

it makes everything less of a hassle and faster aswell.

think its great to have all my Spells and all my items in Dota 2 bound to the Naga on the side.
then i can just use my keyboard for commands, moving the camera and chatting and Tabbing groups.

only sad thing about the Naga is that when you are used to it. you cant play at the same level without one XD. but then again, why would you?

This could be good, hope it true, also hope it doesn't cost a lot. 300 to 450 would be good

minimur124351d ago

Its Razer, it'll be really expensive, wouldn't be surprised if its $600/£500

Are_The_MaDNess4351d ago

price dont matter that much if the quality is there. thats why people like the Razer products.
how i love my Razer Naga Epic.... yes its a 150USD mouse but i cant game without it anymore :D not to mention a 40USD mousepad :D

I'm going to wait for Sony's Project Morpheus and add it to my Sony collection along with my PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Bravia, Stereo Headset, Xperia T & Vaio.

Sony virtual surround headset + Morpheus = breaking on through to the other side.

Razer Reveals AI Enhanced Products At CES

Razer has revealed a new line of AI enhanced products at CES.

It will be interesting to see how that AVA compares to the Dipal, both look like fun products.

I want an actual robot companion though, I know I'm gonna get some flack for saying so but i hope robots get as advanced as LLMs in their abilities over the next few years, that would be pretty damn amazing.

I'm already eyeing a Jenny Wakeman replica home robot... Well someone had to say it.

Seraphim47d ago (Edited 47d ago )

for the small price of 1 million dollars you too can own your own sentient AI robot.

They might come in cheaper than expected with good competition in the space, from China etc. Similar to how we have good Android phones at reasonable prices. They'll probably be fairly pricey though at first, guessing in the region of 20-30k, but who knows maybe pricing will come down fairly quickly.
