VRFocus - Up until now, VRFocus’ ‘VR vs.’ series has been focused on technical hiccups and issues with image. Virtual reality (VR) technology still had kinks to work out before we could be sure that it could catch on. Last week changed all of that. Big news poured out of the Game Developers Conference (GDC); not only did Oculus VR announce the second developer kit (DK2) for the Oculus Rift VR headset, but Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) lifted the lid on its very own device for the PlayStation 4, Project Morpheus. VR is now entering a much bigger arena and with that comes a new set of challenges. Today we’re tackling arguably the biggest one of all – publishers.
A classic genre takes on new life in VR, so here's a rundown of the best VR platformer games available in 2026.
Can’t be a good list without astro bot and moss and moss book 2 they are the cream of the crop.
If his choices are as good as those 3 games then I gotta try the rest of his list
VR is a medium perfect for adventuring through new lands, so here's some of the best VR Adventure Games available in 2026.
Are a bunch of games, some of which are nearly 10 years old not one being from 2026. Barely one from 2025.
I do like the irony of the closing paragraph though, "Why VR Adventure Games are Thriving". Really buddy?

Skyworld: Kingdom Brawl, one of the best RTS card battlers in VR is shutting down this July, developer Vertigo Games has confirmed.
Good read. I hope it catches on. It would give gaming an extra life.
The good thing with VR is that it doesn't necessary needs 100 hours mega productions to be successful. With a level of immersion that high, a very good 3-4 hours experience with environment puzzles, some mystery or mild scaryness will be super impressive. Playing Outlast on VR would cause cardiac arrests, but even Gone Home would be kind a scary (for me) in VR. With that in mind, I think publishers won't be that much of a problem because they can make games faster and cheaper and still have a huge success.
There have been Rift Supported games on Steam for a few months now. I would think that the the Rift would be released soon as to warrant so much developer support. I doubt those developers would have a hard time crossing over to the PS4 when the Morpheus hits shelves. If the VR thing catches fire, I dont think Sony will have to hit developers with hat in hand.
