I thought it was a really great video for new Infamous players who never played the first two. A little off topic but Gamestop is taking collector's edition pre orders right now and I want to help out my fellow gamers who wanted one.

Nice. Got my PS4 today and plan to pick up infamous. Never played the first two installments cause I've been gaming almost exclusively on PC since 2002. This is exactly what i was looking for.

Edit: after watching the video I'm actually really hyped for Infamous Second Son. The plot sounded really interessting.

The first two games were amazing. If you ever get the chance, I would suggest playing them a little bit even though you now know the storylines. Somehow this game looks like even more fun. Cole and Delsin just seem like two different people though. One regretted his powers throughout both of his games, but the other seemed to have embraced them and accepted that the powers are a part of him. That's not a bad thing, but it's going to be different. I cannot wait to play with all of these new powers. Running in neon looks amazing. Only a few more days left. I hope you enjoy the game.

@Iloveps4: Well I might play them after second son. A friend of mine has a PS3 and both Infamous games. I was thinking about playing all the way through them with him before playing Second Son but now that I got a PS4 and Second Son coming I want to play it right away.

This pretty much sums it up nicely. But if you haven't played either of them yet I recommend doing so. Infamous 1 and 2 are some of the best open world games last generation. Definitely one of my favorite franchises to come out of the PS3 era.

The good ending of Infamous 2 was probably the closest I came to crying over the ending of a videogame. Storywise, Infamous 2 is the best superhero game I've ever played.

I actually thought that inFamous 1 had a better storyline than 2. The first game's twist (Kessler) was just much better than the second game's (Jon). I also just didn't care much for New marais. Don't get me wrong, the second game was really good, but I just preferred the first game.

It's weird too because I feel like it improved everything except for the storyline, yet I still prefer the first game. It doesn't matter though because they are both fantastic.

I actually never noticed how good the story was in Infamous games. Was probably too busy destroying stuff without a care. Wonder how I:SS will tie in.

That was an excellent synopsis! I totally enjoyed my play through of Infamous 1 and 2 recommended playing through them to enjoy the full story! :)

Those same people are also now saying inFamous is so pretty, it must have weak gameplay.

Seriously, have they never actually played the game? If you find the gameplay weak, then maybe youre just not cut out to be the lead in the best Superhero game ever.

When you say best Superhero game ever do you include The Arkham series into that. Cause the Arkham games are some of the best I've played.

Note: I haven't played any Infamous games yet. I'm looking foreward to playing Second Son though.

I believe that the best superhero game was Spiderman 2. I played that game so much as a kid. I don't know what made that game so special. It was just fun. It actually made you feel like you were swinging around the city. The moves were epic. You just felt so powerful.

Malphite, Infamous and Batman are honestly the 2 best super hero Ips game Ips out now!

And the Arkham games are all fantastic except for the one WB Montreal made!

Once you've played Second Son, you'll see why Infamous is such a loved franchise from the infamous fans...

Yeah, Im including Arkham. Why wouldnt I? While I enjoyed them (the first two anyway) I did find them to be overrated, especially the combat which people go on and on about. It was very dull to me, hit, hit, hit, counter, repeat.

Not saying inFamous's hand to hand is deep or anything, but its combat is not just melee, it uses all of his powers. But the Rocksteady Batman games were still great.

Yeah, loved Spiderman 2, especially Bruce Cambell. Thats exactly why I love inFamous. It makes you feel powerful. Scaling buildings, tossing cars, your different bolt powers. Its great.

I can only assume the increased mobility and different power sets are going enhance that feeling in Second Son.

to all you who say infamous is weak on story 1 you probably didn'y play it and 2 you probably didn't pat attention if u did play it. second son i trust will have three great elements which are Graphics, gameplay, and story.

Revealed he’s the real Beast and John in Infamous 2 was just an anomaly created by timelines being messed with by Kessler.

First we get the Tushima sequel(coz its most rumored)
Then a new Resistance (need new PS SP FPS)
Then a totally new IP (new IPs are always interesting)
And then a new inFamous?

If I had a choice between another Infamous game and another Spider-Man game, I choose Spider-Man. Sony should spend its resources on its winners.

Infamous was such a winner its studio was given the freedom (after 3 titles + their expansions) to do a new IP with GoT, just like with Sly Cooper before infamous.

I'd welcome a 4th title even more than another Spider-Man, it'd be exciting what they could do with new powers fit for the hardware outside the limits of a licensed superhero game.

I liked it but it ended too quickly. You could tell it was a launch game and wasn’t as good as the first 2 but it was still a pretty good game imo I just wish it lasted longer

Sony has so many great dominant IP's that they can bring back, such as Infamous, Socom, Ape Escape, Jak & Daxter, Siren, Sly Cooper, Killzone, Twisted Metal, Little Big Planet, Gravity Rushy, Motorstorm, Wild Arms, Resistance, Wipeout, Alundra, Colony Wars, Cool Boarders, Knack, Syphon Filter, Dark Cloud, Omega Boost, The Legend of Dragoon, G-Police, The Getaway and so on. Many of these games is what defines Playstation and sets them apart in previous generations.

I rather they focus on that, instead of Live Service games that's been so heavily invested now days.

They could also work with third parties developers to bring these franchises back like Parasite Eve, Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver, Dino Crisis, Ridge Racer, SSX, Tenchu, Jade Cocoon, Xenogears, Lunar Silver Star, Nightmare Creatures, Vagrant Story, Shadow Hearts, Driver, Breath of Fire, Tomba, Legend of Legaia, Okami..etc

I'm more of a new IP dude but infamous is one of the few series I want more of. Second son 2 where you play as delsin, fetch, and the video game guy (eugene I think?), Infamous 3 where cole comes back and maybe teams up with delsin against a new threat, A new game where maybe you pllay as another new protag who has to fight against an evil deslin who got messed up from absorbing too many powers and became some unstable super powered dude similar to the beast in infamous 2. Or just a whole new plot, characters and city. Series has a lot of potential

Problem with infamous is the morality system played into the endings in all the games so even though the player gets a choice for good of bad ending a sequel typically has to chose one of those endings to make cannon which may not align with players.

However I would love another one of these games they were all amazing
