If they moved more consoles it's healthy for the industry I mean I can't stand EA and their shady practices just like the next person But give credit where credit is due or you just look salty for no reason.

i'm not sure a 96% jump means a lot. the article gives no previous week number of consoles sold - so, if the xbone had been selling poorly the week before, then a 96% jump wouldn't be hard to attain.
the same would be true for ps4. i'm just saying percentage numbers don't mean much without knowing how many consoles were sold the previous week.

If we can trust http://www.vgchartz.com/ then in 2014-03-08 week they sold 15.259 in europe so lets say it was in UK alone so 96% is ~14.649 so this week they sold ~29.908.
PS4 same week in Europe sold 37,023. But Ps4 is available in more countrys and vgchartz.com isn't 100% accurate. Just some numbers.

My self i have ps4 and i am planning to get xbox, but not for shooter witch is better on pc + I can connect ps or xbox controller to pc, but i think fps should be played with mouse. But maybe the jumping mechanics makes sense to play it with controller. Not very much of fps guy.

Up 96% sounds nice...but curious to know actual numbers from Microsoft. Several days ago, I saw them posting..."hundreds of thousands playing Titanfall"...which to me sounds quite poor for a hyped game like Titanfall. I was expecting a much higher percentage on Xbox One sales for this game. This leads me to think they have not gone past the 500k mark...or past a million in sales.

But, an increase in sales for the X1 is still good nonetheless...

That's an impressive boost for just one game. I guess MS was right to keep this title to themselves :). While their hardware sales still aren't that high, a (nigh) double in sales is impressive never the less.

Still hoping Respawn uses this hype to go full multiplat except for the sequal ;).

If another Halo was out soon I would expect momentum to carry on and the Xbox One to dominate the UK and US this year. MS doesn't have much coming out in the next few months, they will be preying that the 360 version of Titanfall gets bad reviews to help push longevity of the One version.

THIS comment is against EA, not Xbox 1, but Titanfall, as they compared it to FIFA, only did as well as it has, in my opinion, because it had relatively NO competition.. I have been struggling to find ANYTHING else to play on PC or otherwise for a while now.

It helps to be one of the few titles released during a gaming-drought and even more so when it's also on a console that has only recently released and a small library thus far.

Again, this is against EA and the game itself. If it winds up being a runaway success, then so be it, but I just don't see it (based on my gaming preferences).

to be honest this is bad news for exclusive game which ms paid millions of $ for. the PS4 infamous bundle is outselling the xbone titanfall bundle which means without the 96% increase in sales the xbone is in real trouble.

People are too harsh on X1. Im not MS' biggest fan, infact I think their customer service is aweful. But the X1 is a fun console, user friendly and alot to offer for the whole family.

I think the more interesting thought or maybe even question is....why can't the X1 blow down the doors in sales with Titanfall? Sure Microsoft will see a bump in X1 sales but I can't imagine it being the kinda bump they were hoping for. If Titanfall and the X1 were selling hot then Microsoft would be crowing non stop about it. You here about total games sales from all the triple A titles a couple days after they release. Titanfall has been out a week and still not word one on sales. Microsoft hyped this game as one of the great games ever and it may very well be but it's not a system seller.

OK, this is EXACTLY like their statements on Windows Phone growth...VGChartz had the week ending March 8th showing 14,000 (and change) XBox Ones sold in ALL of Europe. So a "96%" increase probably means somewhere around 5000 individual units sold...that isn't going to change the game...but it makes for an exciting sounding press release! If that is the BEST they can do, immediately following the release of their most anticipated game, they are in SERIOUS trouble!

The xbone was selling less than 15,000 units every month i believe, so this increase can't be that much.

£30 price drop + titanfall bundle (digital copy) + reduced titanfall retail price + mass second coming marketing has resulted in this humongous range hike

Didn't I read somewhere on here that PS4 sales had also gone up 74%??? So that just makes things as they already were... The difference being that XBOne's big gun has dropped, whereas PS4's big game, doesn't come out till later this week. I'm not saying Infamous will move machines like a game like Titanfall, but, I am also not saying that it won't, or can't be a system seller.
The game is highly impressive, & has the potential to become a system seller.

Anyway, both machines will prosper, so lets all just enjoy the success, both MS & Sony can garner.
