In the week since its release, Titanfall has sparked a lot of debate among fans and critics alike. Reception of the gameplay seems to be generally positive. The game has been praised as a “revolution” for shooter multiplayer while insults usually sound like “it’s just an upgraded Call of Duty,” which still can be taken as a compliment, given the success of that series.

In a simple and concise post on Twitter, head of Respawn Entertainment Vince Zampella responded to fan requests for a Titanfall x Helldivers 2 crossover two love heart emojis, praising the idea.

Popularized by Doom in 1993 and still making video game haters gnash their teeth today, first-person shooter games are the best thing to happen to gamers since pizza rolls. So here are 15 underrated first-person shooter games you may have missed.
Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.
Lol
All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.
XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games
I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
Agreed. Best multiplayer game in a few good years. The last FPS i enjoyed this much was Crysis 2
PC digital is overpriced.
and still bought it, I am a silly goose.
Paid £37 of ebay on xbone and i honestly think ive got my moneys worth allready. Just about to regenerate/prestige game has some issues but its amazing, this is next gen gameplay! (Maybe not graphics) but amazing as hell non the less!
Since the multiplayer is addicting the replaybility makes it well worth 60 bucks maybe even 70.
For me personally, I can't really justify the price. It doesn't have the same amount of allure that another always online game like Destiny has. Their promising LOADS of content for $60 with a clearly defined/cinematic story, seamless co-op and competitive multiplayer all while having an open world/galaxy that you can explore. Raids, looting, factions, trading, upgrading skills, etc.
That sounds like $60 to me
