Titanfall Review (iAmXbox)

From the official iAmXbox.com review:

"There’s a saying that nothing good comes of war. Too often the byproduct of confrontation is the detriment of something that all could enjoy. Forged out of the fires of conflict and with the reputation of an entire company on the line, Respawn Entertainment was formed and their first game, Titanfall was conceived. With such a troubled beginning, expectations rose to levels that had gamers doubting that something of this magnitude could be accomplished. All of us weren’t expecting what happened next."

I don't care how good a game may seem, if it doesn't have a single player campaign then it will never get more than a 3.5 from me.

I agree, even tho a game maybe really fun and exciting to play, still doesn't justify it to be online only, and I think we should review games with that in mind with games being divided up according (SP/SP+MP/MP only) Because I wouldn't give for say a game like TLOU the same score as Titanfall, because they very far apart. I also wish Reviewers would take "value for money" into account more often, because this is a huge issue for Titanfall, yes it comes with a load of maps, but with little game modes and weapon variety, I don't think its justified the Xbone's £44.99-£54.99 price point. The PC's £24 is much more reasonable.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
