They are nothing alike. Very different in how they're designed to be played. Titanfall is geared towards competitive gaming, probably e-sports ready. Destiny is more of an open ended, cooperative focused game. Also has competitive, but the open world, and lore are major focal points.

They both will have large fanbases

Destiny will obviously sell more. Since its on Sony platforms too. Personally I'm looking forward to Destiny more.

TF should be compared to online only shooters

There no comparsion. There different video game types IMO, Titanfall is a online only Competitive shooter, and Destiny is a story driven RPG with both SP and MP choices and role playing.

Destiny and Titanfall are two games that really shouldn't be compared. But if I must choose, Destiny is hands down my most anticipated game. I think they said it's on pace to be the highest selling new IP of all-time.

Destiny all the way. Beta testing is coming up for Destiny in a couple weeks as well. Preordered to get into it at Gamestop.

GTFO apples and oranges. TF is a shallow arena arcade shooter and Destiny is an MMO experience.

everyone seems to think bungie makes really great games yet they only made halo as far as I know. respawn is only being hyped because there making a spiritual successor to cod so yeah I got my xbox one but I don't know if I would go as far as to say which one will last the longest.

I love that I can play both on my platform of choice but I'm curious as to why they are considered rivals since they are nothing alike.

I don't want to have to think while playing video games. I just need flashing lights and fast moving thingies. Thinking takes too much effort, and honestly, they should just get rid of any story altogether. I also think they should turn peggle into a FPS (which would be the most epic game ever in that case).

These games have a similar orgin and embody things from there predecesor...anyone who refutes that doesn't know much about either game and is just getting them for the hype
With that said COD has always sold more than halo because it's MultiPlat but this is a good comparison

Based on genre, its more like COD, BF, and maybe Halo versus Titanfall.

Destiny is doing something far more experimental and trailblazing and is a different genre of shooter.

Titanfall, as good as it may be, is still another k/d shooter at the end of the day like COD and BF which are the current most popular tittles in that genre.

how can you really compare the two? Completely different games. They BOTH will be spectacular I have no doubt. Great year to be a gamer.

Titanfall 720p is not enough for me to spend money on a xbone, rather play it on PC, but Destiny is the one that really got my attention as it will be truly something new, not the same tiresome shooter multiplayer experience

I just don't see how Titanfall skipped realms, Destiny is an open universe game whereas TF is a shooter.

You can't judge Titanfall if you don't have a platform to play it on. That being I think I'm gonna go with destiny it's more ambitious. And I'm gonna play it on my xbone

The only thing that's similar about these games is the fact that they're futuristic shooters. One has a story, open world and superpowers while the others have mechs and parkour.

What I have learned from this site, is that the Sony fanboys will do whatever to trash a game to bring Xbox one down just like some of the negative comments on this site for TF.

They will scourge and propagate hate for they think it will improve their life in general. Pathetic lowly human beings.

Personally, I look forward to Destiny more than Titanfall. I enjoy both the Fps and Rpg elements. I seem to be more interested in PvE than PvP. Customization ranges from character to weapons to vehicles. I also look forward to both the single player campaign and the multiplayer.

not really comparable, the game is more like borderlands than anything. seems to be focused on loot, which is addicting and fun :) im excited.
