Why Metal Gear Solid 5 could be made

talkplaystation.com writes "Hideo Kojima has already said that he wants to move on and make a new title or remake past games such as Zone of the Enders. That doesn't mean Metal Gear Solid 5 won't be made, it means that the series will get a new producer.

Also there is slight evidence that MGS5 could be made because of the following information…"

Please, just let the series end with this one final mission and let it be complete and done.

Please

Don't ruin it, it's going 6 for 6, let it be 7 for 7 and let it go.

Mainman6601d ago

No way man, I am a major MGS fan, and I would welcome MGS5.

PirateThom6601d ago

I'm the opposite. I want this to be the last game because it will wrap the story up, anything else, especially without Kojima at the helm, worries me.

Nitrowolf26601d ago

I to think the series should end
but it saddens me to see it end

I say end Metal Gear Solid with MGS4, and start Metal Gear _____ with a new hero, but with connections to the MGS story.

Suggestions :
- How Raiden became Mr. Awesome with a ninja suit
- The life of Liquid Snake (meh this one I dunno)
- Complete remakes of MG1 and MG2 (with alot of plot improvements)
- The Story of The Boss
- Snake's and Gray Fox's past

There are many things to do with this franchise. My personal favorites would be MG1 and MG2 remakes and Gray Fox's story. There would be alot of cool things to say about Gay Fox's past, and it could be linked with MG1 and MG2 remakes.

^^^

i agree, i don't mind they create a new MG game with another protagonist but if it's the end of snake, let it end.

i just hope any future MG games have the same crazy deep storylines that MGS had.

KingKirchner6601d ago

I've been saying the same thing. Very few franchises actually end in a big epic bang. they usually get milked on and on untill they stop selling. I DO NOT want that to happen to my favorite seris ever, MGS.

MGS4 is supposed to finally, once and for all, wrap up the story and in a seris that is VERY plot driven, I just don't see how you could continue it with sequals after the story was already wraped up.

Maddens Raiders6601d ago (Edited 6601d ago )

without Hideo at the helm, this pristine series could turn into a watered down epic FAIL. It would have to be done so right, with him as a shadow consultant on the entire endeavor which if he's going to do that, might as well make it anyway.

The sad thing is, after reading the article -- this is probably already green lighted. I agree with meepmoopmeep that without the deep storylines present in the spinoff, it really wouldn't be worth the effort, and I don't see how they'll pull it off without Kojima-san.

Im rooting for a spinoff with Ninjaiden (Ninja Raiden)

The Closing6601d ago (Edited 6601d ago )

Bring it!

I always thought it would be cool to play a game as Gray Fox as Ninja. Ninja Raiden would actually make for a more sensible game though. I always thought Raiden was a very cool underrated character too, but living in the shadow of the greatest video game hero of all time isn't an easy thing to do.

Timesplitter146601d ago

I bet we'll see that in MGS4 : Subs_______

Defectiv3_Detectiv36601d ago

Ninjaiden, now why does that sound like some kind of vaginal disease?

superman6601d ago

I wont mind a another metal gear game with Raiden.

cyclindk6601d ago

Yeah, but with less "metal geary" controls. Too slow to play as a bad cyborg ninja.

PirateThom6601d ago (Edited 6601d ago )

The ninja mode in Special Missions was pretty good.

It would need a bit of work, because Metal Gear is still not a hack and slash.

I don’t think I’ve ever quite experienced an unfinished game that was slapped together with duct tape and construction paper to be sold as a finished product, basically making you replay the same missions and include a story that clearly was missing so much of the plot, like I did with this game.

I’m actually shocked that it doesn’t get calls out for this more.

It did. But the gameplay loop is still pretty good.

Hideo Kojima admits Metal Gear Solid motion capture was “trial and error”

Hideo writes: "We experimented with magnetic motion capture in "Metal Gear Solid: Integral", and in MGS2, we adopted optical motion capture for the first time. Was the shooting done about 25 years ago? Well, back then, everything was trial and error, but every day felt fresh and exciting."
