Pro Race Driver was one of those first disappointments, as the game was hard on the eyes, despite screenshots featuring beaming details. And of course, with a game like Gran Turismo 3 to compete with, Codies had a lot to live up to. More recently, I found myself disappointed with their newest rally entry, DiRT - handling seemed too touchy, and the glare of the sun was annoying. So when GRiD was revealed months ago, my expectations were low. Thankfully, expectations can be overcome, and here I am sharing with you the details of what may be the best racer Codemasters have ever put out.
Even though Codies are known for releasing simulation titles, GRiD is an arcade game more akin to Need for Speed than Gran Turismo. The first thing that's instantly noticeable is just how immense the sense of speed is. You're blasted with this instant assault of speed, as the cars offered in this demo are all very fast. Once you settle down with the game's pace, you'll also notice that the controls feel better than its rival Need for Speed: ProStreet."

The Humble Codemasters Racing ReBundle 2020 just launched today. It features games like F1 2019, Dirt Rally 2.0, GRID, and more.

This month’s Humble Choice features twelve games. The headliners for June are GRID Ultimate Edition, Supraland, and Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice. New games are added to Humble Choice on the first Friday of every month.
Was surprised to see Hellblade again, they gave it away last year with Humble Monthly
Im just your average 45 year old occasional gamer, but i felt compelled to say my peace as i have been waiting for Grid to be released since i heard about it, i was totally stoked about this game.
I tried the demo last week & well, i havent played it since. There are many cool aspects to the game, & lots of eye candy, but ,,,,,, for some reason it isnt making me want to play it more. To me, it just feels like another typical arcade race game. The cars dont seem to have that accurate handling that ive only ever found in two games. Those being an old original xbox game Ralli Sport Challenge 2, & DiRT, with the latter being the best handling most accurate most fun racer ive found. Sure the online aspect to Dirt is limited, but it seems more real to me than Grid, by a mile. Yes im more of a rally fan but i love GT style racing just as much, & i was really hoping Grid would have that accurate feel to it, but ,,,,, it just doesnt,,,,,,, think i will wait another year for the full version of GT5.......
I will give Grid another go when its released so i can rent it & see if it feels any better, as im sure it will , or at least im hoping.
My rating is 7.8-10 for Grid Demo, 9-10 for Dirt, & 10 out of 10 for Ralli Sport Challenge 2. RSC 2 gets the 10- 10 because for its time of release it was exceptional.
Very true same here, that's what I noticed with the demo everything though quite enjoyable ( especially the musclecars ) are very much like floating or has'nt got that kind of grip like say compared to Colin McRae: Dirt.
I'd still give it a go since what I'm really looking forward for this game is the LeMans racing plus trying out more of those musclecars. I just love the number of cars they'ved picked in this series that I could'nt find anywhere else at the moment in any game.
