Might be off topic, but are there any Kinect features with TitanFall?? I have not noticed an article out there about one or in the previews. It would be stupid to have a game that is supposed to be a system seller, yet the game does not use the systems features.

people use to say MS didn't need the worldwide sales because it has the USA/UK but the ps3 was able to pass the 360 without winning in those region's but now sony is winning in both of those places and has lead of almost 2 million ps4's sold to customers(not ship to stores)but fans say its because MS has only sold the xbox in 13 regions( worldwide matters now)and sales will pickup when it goes worldwide but if you can't win in your own backyard what makes you think you can win in someone else's?

Yes, it will balance things out. This is a huge game and if it does go multi platform (to include PS4) it won't be until 2017.

Someone with the proper resources should do an article analyzing the impact of past "system sellers" on console sales. They should examine how well the system was performing in comparison to the competition, the point in the console's life cycle the game came in, degree of exclusivity, other games on the market, etc.

Dropping the failed experiment that is Kinect is the only way to save the Xbox One. People just don't want gimmicks and unfortunately, the entire console is built around a gimmick.

People love talking about innovation and laugh at those who want a traditional experience and not some toy shoved down our throats.

A console with a Kinect sensor sold with every unit and it does not have a kinect game. This is what I have not figured out yet. A price drop will save the X1 if it needs saving at all.

IF MS wants the Xbox One to compete with the PS4 in terms of units sold (which I imagine they do) then price cutting and bundles are going to be main peice to that. Software will help no doubt but price parity or at minimum the perception of value parity is what they need. Currently they don't have that however they seem pretty aggressive about moving on this element.

So, we shall see.

Now we know that Titanfall appeals to that same COD crowd, and is, in a way, Respawn's answer to the IP they had ripped away from them. Going by these preorder numbers, Titanfall could certainly be appealing to that same fan-base that is already existent on the Xbox. But the question is, how much of an effect is it going to have on pulling in new buyers of the system?

It's a game created using an engine from 2004, or pre Xbox 360 engine.

The beta ran at 792p and had dips as low as 34 FPS, at that low resolution with an ancient game engine.

No one can save Microsoft, except for itself, and even if it was doing everything right, they have dug such a big hole it would be difficult.

Titanfall, is not the high quality game many are too hyped to see reality. It's a decently fun game. The PC version is obviously the best, and no, because it's a Source engine game, many 5 year old PC's will easily run it better then the XBox One.

It's also available on the 360, and depending on how it runs and looks, it might even dissuade people from buying an XB1 if they see the 360 version is barely worse. That they might as well just buy the 360 version and wait until later to buy a new console.

This game has it's faults. It's quirks. It's WTF were thinking when designing this game moments.

They've also implied too grandiose differences. Parkour is not running up walls like was stated over and over again. You can run up walls. No...you can't. Parkour and chaining that is completely different then running up walls.

The levels are indeed quite flat. 2-3 stories high, maybe a little bit more does not constitute vertical maps. You won't be having to pay attention to snipers on top of the siege of shanghai tower.

There is a massive difference of scales between BF4 vertical aspects of the maps and Titanfall.

Okay if you've played Siege of Shanghai map, you know the one where the tower comes crashing down...if you've been up there you notice how far up in the map you are...and plus you have helicopters and planes flying well above you even up there.

Now for Titanfall, with that BF4 map in mind, think of that one building where you can land on where you can shoot out those glass ceiling things which is about 10x shorter.

That's the difference in vertical scale. BF4's maps have 10x the vertical nature, and then planes and helicopters fly even above that 10x.

Those bots are a hindrance. It's going to get tiring when in EVERY GAME you are getting killed because you shot a bot and a real person shot you.

This game should never have been hyped, but Microsoft hyped it, because it's all they have, and they roll that propaganda way.

It's not setting a bar that will take a long time to meet. SO many other shooters that have already come out are far beyond it in so many ways. Least of which is graphics, which do look really dated, even on PC 1080p/insane textures.

The game is decent fun, and worth a purchase at some point, but if you can't play it, there is no reason to buy a console just to get it. It seriously is not remotely close to being that good. While I'm sure a few will differ, most won't.

This game won't save the Xbox One. Only Microsoft can do that, and only if they really realize they have a problem, and take the only sane steps they can take. Create and buy devs to create unique Xbox One only 1st party games.

Titanfall to save XboxONE? I think this time round it will take a lot more than the legendary Masterchief, Coalition of Ordered Governments and as well as Titanfall to salvage what is of a device breaching the invasion of privacy.

The only thing the Xbone needs is a lower price point. Kinda hard to sell the Xbone when right next to it sits the PS4 that does the same thing for $100 less. Unless you care that much for Kinect, most will opt for the cheaper console.

The guy who did this article has to be smoking some really good crack or he is new to gaming which would beg the question " why did he get this gig"? If you know anything about gaming to even think that would only be good for a laugh to yourself but to say it out loud and put it to print and publish it for the public to read is just plain silly. Anyone that knows anything about gaming knows as long as the name Microsoft is attached to the Xbox One it will always be a lesser console kept alive by paid minions to hype the thing and make it look appealing for purchase for those that just don't know any better. And those that fall victim to that tried and true method of sales and purchase that thing. They will be nickel and dimmed until bled to death. It's sad really. Of course this is my opinion so by all means go purchase one. For a few hundred dollars you can have one.
