BioShock will most likely come to PS3

talkplaystation.com writes about how BioShock will come to the PS3 along with BioShock 2.

"Ok moving on, what about the EGM rumor saying that Bioshock will come to PS3 as early as this September. Take a look at this article.

I can see why the Xbox fans don't like this rumor and would probably cry if these rumors are true and besides more games are moving from the Xbox 360 to the PS3. Mass Effect 2 anyone?"

Theve been playing the game for the last 10 months..

Mr_President_6585d ago

I mean we lost two major exclusives in Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5, now they're potentially losing Bioshock here, and maybe Mass Effect further down the road.

MURKERR6585d ago

be upset? they can boast we ps3 owners are late to the bioshock party!
good game giving every1 a chance to play can only be good news

solidt126585d ago

Being that they are being so quiet about it. I bet they have a deal with Microsoft where they can't talk about it until 10-12 months later and the PS3 version is done. They won't say anything until after the exclusivity period.

The Lazy One6585d ago

"fair is fair"

What? This is business, not a flippin card game.

dantesparda6585d ago (Edited 6585d ago )

Overrated, and if you think that Im bullsh!tting just check my gamertag and you will see that I've extracted almost as much as you can out of this game, so i know the game. So dont worry about it Sony fanboys, you're not missing much, i think it was just because of the graphics that it got so much praise, cuz the story aint special. But i will say this much, i definitely think this game is better than that piece of sh!t Mass Effect. I couldnt even play that sh!t. Sorry 360 fanboys, but not my cup of tea. Besides this game is too old now, does anybody still care about this game?

Rourker6584d ago

I don't know why you got disagrees what you said about bioshock on the PC is very true. in fact its debatable that its better than the 360 version, but keep that on the DL its a supposed 360 exclusive :P

kalle6584d ago

Mass effect is publ. by Msoft so stop be PS3-crybabies about it. and see the truth that it will NEVER come to PS3 and not Bioshock.

if PS3 owners really wanted Bioshock so bad, then they should've gotten a 360 for it. however, if Bioshock (and subsequently its sequel) does indeed come to the PS3, then why should 360 fanboys be upset? i mean its not like they'll be missing out on anything.

resistance1006585d ago

'if PS3 owners really wanted Bioshock so bad, then they should've gotten a 360 for it'

While that is true, you have to take into account, not everyone can afford more than one console.

SlaughterMeister6585d ago

I love BioShock, but I CAN'T AFFORD BOTH SYSTEMS, which is why I want it for PS3 so bad.

And yes, I agree with your point about Xbox fanboys being upset. If they are, it doesn't make any sense at all.

v1c1ous6585d ago

i mean, were you here when a bunch of "supposedly playstation brands" started to appear on 360, and the coronaries people were having over that?

juuken6585d ago

Lol, not everyone has a million dollars tucked under their mattress. I could get a 360, but it's too expensive, especially with the extra crap you have to buy, along with games. And I like charging my controller on my PC and playing wireless. I don't feel like shelling out $2.99 on batteries or whatever the price is now. Plus, you get everything on the PS3 for one price including blu-ray.

Not buying a 360 just one game, which is NG2.

Fallen_Angel6585d ago

Still no prove that bioshock is going to the ps3 or bioshock 2 for that fact. As for them hiring programs for the ps3 didnt they say they be making a game that is exclusive to the ps3 ? The reason why the code is in the pc version most likely is that the game was for both systems till ms made a deal to get it exclusively on the 360. So they had started work on a ps3 version at one point. If the game was coming out in sept they would most likely of announced it by now. There a slim chance that they are saving it for a surprise at E3 but I highly doubt they will announce a game 2 months before its release.

As for Mass Effect 2 on the ps3 not happening either Bioware already stated that it exclusive to the 360 and they might port it to the pc later.

juuken6585d ago

Okay Fallen Angel but if you're proven wrong, I'll just laugh.
The game doesn't need to be announced NOW for it to be released in September. It could be announced in June ya know.

I don't care if it comes or not anyway.

Richdad6585d ago

The trash load of comments given are real bad I remeber it happened during DMC4 and there is always the cry that this is exclusive and that it not.

solidt126585d ago

No, PS3 owners also own PC's so if they want it that bad last year it was on the PC also.

Dark General6584d ago

That's why, and to be honest i wasn't much interested in BIOSHOCK until people started comparing it with my beloved Deus Ex. I'm/was far more interested in Mass Effect. But i believe when i have the funds i'll pick up a 360.

gonzopia6584d ago

I'm a PS3 owner, and I wanted Bioshock so bad, I bought it for my PC.

its best just 2 wait for an official announcement i cant count the articles ive read about bioshock cummin/not cummin 2 the ps3 but in all probability i think - it will

Varsarus6585d ago

Do we need it??, considering the PS3's line-up this year...

wass0076585d ago

wow another exclusive the 3fixme lost and this was their 2007 GOTY lmao!!!

liquidsnake6585d ago

No we don't! A nice little addition though. I've played it at a friends house and I enjoyed it. But It's not like I will be missing it if it's not coming.

STARS6585d ago (Edited 6585d ago )

We don't need it, but you never can have too many good games. Proof? See PS2's immaculate library of games.

Thr33_6mafia6585d ago

Bioshock has always interested me like Gears of War so at least I might get to play 1 of the 2.

ps360fella6585d ago

hey wass007 the ps3 has lost a few xclusives so dont feel too proud.

I kinda wish this silly rumour would just be resolved one way or the other. If the game does come to PS3, I'll buy it (probably for next Christmas, when I always get a bunch of new games). If it doesn't, well, never mind; I have more than enough games coming in the too near future to care that much about this game overly much.

el_bandito6585d ago

Agreed. In my opinion, I can't see any reason why Xbox fans would get miffed because of this rumor. Most likely they already played and enjoyed the game. Then let the others play and enjoy too. :)

Next ‘BioShock’ Game Changes Leaders After Development Turmoil

The fourth game in the ‘BioShock’ series has been in development for more than a decade

Bioshock is one of my favourites franchises. I love all 3 games and have played each several times. I even have a room in my house that is loosely decorated around the theme of Bioshock (with a Lighthouse, coral models and postcards styled as though they are from both Rapture and Columbus).

And yet I am going to find it extremely difficult to get even remotely excited about any future episode in the series after all the problems this has had in its development cycle.

Leave the franchise alone. Remaster them again if you have to. Then put whatever talent you have to use on something brand new.

Furesis299d ago

Since ken levine isn't involved i'm not surprised what's going on. i'm more excited for his next game which looks like bioshock. Yet he still works under take2 and they are making bioshock 4 without him, strange situation.

toxic-inferno299d ago

Yes. Judas. Looks brilliant, but it's one of those games that seems to never have had a release date. Instead it's had release windows that keep getting pushed back.

Once it's ready, I'll be there for it though. Ken Levine is an excellent developer.

I get the feeling he dissolved Irrational Games simply so that 2k couldn't tell him what to do. It seems it will pay off, but I feel sorry for those who worked as part of Irrational before it was dissolved, who hadn't independently made a name for themselves.

ActualWhiteMan298d ago

He didn’t even want to make 2, that’s why they did it without him.

Rebel_Scum298d ago

tbh it wouldnt be a Bioshock game without development hell. They all had it.

Michiel1989298d ago

bioshock 2 was 2.5 years after 1, so much of a development hell it was......

-Foxtrot298d ago

"Remaster them again if you have to"

Well apparently they were doing a remake but that got cancelled

Relientk77298d ago

It sucks this game is in development hell because I love BioShock and would love a 4th game. I hope it turns out great, but I guess we'll see.

P_Bomb298d ago

Love Bioshock. It’s too bad what’s going on. At least we have Judas.

Yui_Suzumiya298d ago (Edited 298d ago )

It's been in development hell since 2014. This is nothing new. It saddens me because it's one of my favorite series. At this point, Judas may end up releasing first.

BABI-PANGPANG298d ago

Bioshock 4 (if it ever comes out) will probably still look and play like a Bioshock game, but without Kevin, it might miss that spark that made the originals so special. Honestly, Judas might end up feeling more like the real spiritual successor.

Remember there past attempts at game based show's i do heck i still remember that teenage resident evil trash fire.

anast669d ago

ha. I almost forgot about that.

Jin_Sakai671d ago

Might as well just cancel it.

just_looken669d ago

Unless its batwoman were they right it off

porkChop671d ago

It's 10 years too late for a BioShock film. The world of Rapture would have been perfect for a film. It's actually a good candidate for proper utilization of 3D, for increased depth rather than bullshit popping out of the screen. It could really show off the underwater city that way. But BioShock as a brand is so irrelevant these days that a film just doesn't make sense. Especially considering it would need a big budget and top notch effects to really take advantage of the IP.

gold_drake671d ago

i agree on the bigger budget. all the cgi they'd need for the background.

but i think it would work better as a show. a movie would be too short to establish the story

TheNamelessOne671d ago

Netflix greenlights anything, so that shows me very little faith in the project. Enough to just crap something out as they're, more and more, known to do.

badkolo670d ago

its where b movies go to live, its run by democrats , dont expect anything good from netflix

Knightofelemia671d ago (Edited 671d ago )

I'll laugh if it turns out to be better then the Borderlands movie
