Mozilla Corp. on Friday rolled out the release candidate for Firefox 3.0, bringing the open-source browser one step closer to its first major overhaul in nearly 19 months.
The appearance of Firefox Release Candidate 1 (RC1) came earlier than expected. As recently as last Saturday, Mozilla's chief engineer said that although the company had locked down RC1's code, it was planning to publicly launch the build in "late May."
Firefox RC1 is available now for download from Mozilla's servers, and is also being offered as an update to users running Firefox Beta 5, the final beta edition that shipped six weeks ago.

That’s why we’re happy to announce the newest Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller and Wireless Headset collection, featuring inspired designs from Forza Horizon 6. The bright cyan and lime colorways celebrate the Horizon Festival’s recognition of iconic cars and hit music, with special features that are sure to impress any collector."

You can get Hall effect controllers slightly cheaper, but you'd struggle to find as feature-rich a package without some heavy, heavy sales.

Pascal Gilcher calls DLSS 5 impressive but shares the "AI slop" sentiment, explaining the likely tech behind it and why he dislikes it.
I fail to see how this is AI shhhhlllloooop. Looking at the different games they showed, this has made many of them look far better.
If you don’t like it, just don’t enable it. Personally I think it looks great from the videos I have seen.
Making characters look more realistic not ok because we want the developer to decide on how the game was intended to look. - Internet
Change entire game through mods thus changing how the developers intended the game to be is ok. - Internet
All the comments I see are reminding me of how we got to the current state of gaming when microtransactions were first introduced: "It's completely optional guys, we promise! If you don't like it just don't buy it!"
I think we all know how that ended up.
Biggest Scam. Overrides lighting and shadow. So why keep Ray tracing? It's all a scam to raise graphic card. We now see Nvidia with Microsoft downturn anything against them. Sony is next!
RC1 is noticeably faster over the betas, both in startup time and the loading of pages (which is quite impressive considering the betas were actually quite fast already). I'm guessing it has to do with the removal of a lot of debugging code.
Also a positive: RC1 fixed the Adobe Flash problem I was having with Beta 5.
Sadly, Adblock is not compatible yet. I'm going to have to endure ads for a day or two. :(
I'm looking forward to moving to FF3. From what I've seen so far it renders far quicker than any of the competition.
Just need all the various Add-Ons I use to become fully FF3 compatible and I'll be ready to go.
Yep I just finished unpacking the files, and works pretty fast :)
Once AdBlock is compatible,FF3 is mine.
With love,
Solid Rice.
I like it though. It's finally compatible with Fox's on demand player and pages load a lot faster. The only problems are it remembers what i enter in the search bar even when i have it set not to, the text resets to small every time i close it, and it erased all my bookmarks.
