It should be free to download then $5 a month. Or Buy the game and get charged 25 cents a day for every day you log in to play and are not charged for days you are not playing. If I play mon, Tues, and friday, I get charged .75 cents for that week. Why should I have to pay $15 for a month that I get busy and only get on line 3 or 4 times that month?

This game is going to cost you $240 for your first year then $180 every year after that. $420 for you first 2 years of play, even if you only play one day a month. I would rather go buy some ammo and go have some real fun at the range. I payed under 60$ for Battlefield 3 and got years of play out of it on pc.

£10 for 3-6 months game time seems better but there are high budget epic mmos like guild wars that let you just buy the game and play forever.

As great as the elder scrolls games are, a lot of the fanbase are casuals, and casuals are dam well not going to be forking out that much money on one game.

Then again they buy cod every year, so what do I know.

Who cares? The game is fun and its an elder scrolls game so there is plenty of content from the start to keep one busy for hundreds of hours...so I see no problem with the monthly fee if it means keeping servers maintained and help provide for new content in the future.

Again no one had a problem with WoW when you had to pay 50 bucks for the game and the first two expansions (before they mixed it all together) plus the 15$ a month. So I don't get why there is so Mich hypocrisy with this game. People begged for an ender scrolls MMO for years, we finally get one and the same people are now throwing a fit.

Like any MMO, of you don't like it or don't see the value then don't buy it. I never got into WoW because I never saw the benefit for me but saw it for others. This game here I can see myself playing for a long time. You don't need to sit on the internet and cry being selfish and entitled.

I love TES games and TES is actually my favorite franchise. I've played the ESO beta and watched people play the beta.

Its missing the TES "feel" a lot of the time, its hard to explain but I guess it would be the sum of all the little things that you continue to notice while playing ESO. I like the idea of other adventures in the world but I don't think it is being executed well, it feels more like any other MMO most of the time with some TES mixed in.

I've preordered the game and will play until the sub kicks in and shelf it, like I do with most other games. If it had more of a TES feel, I would pay the sub because I still play both Oblivion and Skyrim a lot and they don't even have the promise of a steady stream of new content or the ability to play with my friends.

I wonder how the console market is going to do with ESO. I see it doing very well then dropping when the sub kicks it but I think the PC subscribers are going to be able to sustain the servers and stream of new content for the console owners.

$15 is just right for a premium mmorpg game like Elder Scrolls Online. People wishing it was F2P do not have gaming and gamers best interest in mind.

The "I want, I want and I want it now for free generation" is not representing the best interest for gaming and gamers. And should be more or less ignored.

It should cost exactly ZERO bucks to play online. One time fee for the game or GTFO! In a year like this with an army of these type of games coming (Which be FREE online) No idea what they were thinking, guess money greed took over their minds.

For those 'demanding' free, I implore you to NOT buy this game and find something else to play.

World of Warcraft has shown that a sub model provides evolution, innovation and constant quality content development, along with quality support.

A sub model ensures that the content delivery will be constant and provide a new experience as time goes by.

When games like this go free to play, they die quickly and for good reason.

I do NOT want a 'free to play' MMO experience. There's already a billion shitty free to play MMOs out there on the market as we speak. If YOU want free to play, PLEASE GO PLAY THEM!

Good quality sub based MMOs are a rarity and especially for the console environment and ultimately, that's what I'm after and willing to pay for - QUALITY.
