I don't care for 1080p, because I only have a 720p/1080i tv, so this is all the better for me.

They should've released a demo that WAS in HD, not like the sub-HD one they recently released. People would have liked the graphics a lot more, and it wouldn't be getting as much flak as it's getting now.

If the game is good nobody is going to give any care to that whole "sub HD" thing. If people really cared then CoD4 would have shown negative results from it. I can't think of one person who ever threw their controller to the ground and said "MAN THIS GAME IS SUB HD. I'M NOT PLAYING THIS".

that isn't good enough. Let the experts like Quaz_51 examine the retail game when it comes out. Rockstar maintained till the end that PS3 was 720p but it turned out to be wrong. Of course, Rockstar used the CELL to make it look as though nothing was missing and according to some even better than plain 720p. Maybe Haze devs will do something similar. In any case the graphics alone are not going to draw people to this game. Its the style, the devs and the gameplay.

Tbh, I'm still not sure about this. When the dev say its got a "HD resolution of 720p" it sounds to me anyway like it could still be 576p but upscaled to 720p to not make anyone panic about their pre-orders.

But then again the new build could be 720p but all I'm saying is that he could just be saying that from a marketing point of view.

unlike what sony was touting, as i recall it. everygame 1080p nonsense.

game will look and play better at this resolution. not that 1080p cannot be done but if you want to limit framerate issues and smoother gameplay, this is it.

When it comes to the Xbox 360 i'm sure it's lose ends will be polished up for the obviously more powerful system.

Well I've been saying when the finale build is release it would run 720p. since that BS rumor came out that it was running at 570p that it was an old build. Only fanboys of another console where spreading fudge again trying to put ps3 owners off buying haze. Now the facts have come from the developer,The fanboys cant face the fact that they where wrong.....All this hate about haze was because its a ps3 exclusive, so they try to smear and nick pick trying to find faults with it before its even release.....they call themselfs gamers but I call them haters.

i dont care about this, its only one week away........and no reviews!!!, i want to see if the game is good , can i get some review........the demo did not show to much and to me i think the demo said that the game is jjust average, but yet again the demo was quite old so i want to see the final review....

Sure it runs at 720p, but not natively, anyone can check that. At least the demo, but he didn't specify if it runs natively 720p in the full game.

over how much the damn resolution is. Even if a game is at 750p or 1050p it will still play the same. Sure the graphics are better on higher settings, but in the end even if it looked but ugly it still plays the same.

Also its getting decent reviews a 34/40 from Famitsu and a 9/10 from the italian OPM (i think).

They released the demo so you could try it out. thats why demos clearly state that they are still in production and that it isnt the finished product. like alot of people were saying, it was the demo from last year.

but what if beyond 3D comes out an states that this game is still 576p an its just upscaled to 720p would you guys feel the developer lied to you. but if you think about it, 576p isnt a resolution any tv can render so it has to be upscaled to 720p. therefore he didnt technically lie because it is being rendered at 720p but not telling the WHOLE truth because its 576 NATIVE!!

LOL...another great game not running at full hd...thankfully I buy games for how fun they are, not their resolution. Kind of sad if this is true though because everyone was promised 1080p games.

I remember last year they were talking about having packed a syringe with the game.

It might be best if they don't though, With the way parents and politics are with GTA, if they saw a game like haze coming with a syringe then that would give them even MORE ammo to say "games are bad" with.

What is so special about Halo? It is supposed to be rated M, but I see it as a T for Teen. Its guns don't really feel very explosive, its baddies scream like squirrels, it's not really a milestone in any aspect of gaming, like level design, weapon design, character design, storyline. Maybe the fact that you recover after a few shots, but that had been done before, Halo simply made it mainstream.

The only reason Halo is so highly revered is because it was Xbox's launch title. I've played many FPS with better gameplay, and that includes GoldenEye, Bioshock and Half-life, among others. Hell, I actually like Quake 4, Prey, the Darkness and even Jericho more than this garbage. Only people that have Microsoft too deep inside their asses deny this.

Haze is made by the makers of Goldeneye, so the claim "Or because no one who owns Halo 3 would buy Haze. " is laughable. However, it's true in that no one who owns Halo 3 would buy Haze in the sense that they don't own a PS3 (but wish they would).

Haze has 4 person co-op, much better graphics, guns that feel like they actually do some damage, hell it even has some RPG-like elements like powering yourself up and assuming roles of different factions, a Storyline that is actually original to the FPS scene, just like resistance and killzone. And Jericho. And prey. And the darkness. Hell, it's not really that hard to get away from the "alien monsters of the future attack earth" or WW2 scene. Even COD4 did it!

Whoever REALLY likes Halo 3 is brainwashed or hasn't played anything else. Only Forge saves Halo 3 from mediocrity.

The a** who counts this game res from beyond3d forums he is rubbish you think he would use a PS3 dev kit or something like this, but he takes the screens from game web sites or looks at his TV and he is like this I think this is 640p or 576p or whatever his stuff is all speculation if the dev doesn't say the game runs on sub HD then don't trust forums

this is a PS3 exclusive, no 360 holding it back, shouldn't it be 1080p ??? Not like they have not had enough time.

It looks like the ps3 is holding back the ps3. I thought games developed for the ps3 not ported would all run at 1080p. I guess the ps3 HD sweet spot is 630p.

So why isnt it running in 1080p and at 120fps since its not a port or been held back by 360?

Too bad it still has no anti-aliasing. The resolution doesn't really matter to me...The game is a mess of horrid pixelation. If the demo is from an old version, then they should have released a demo from the new version instead of showing me how bad it *used* to look. I have a feeling that the demo is representative of the current graphics, or they wouldn't have put it up on the PSN.

It saddens me that this "exclusive" that I was so excited about just looks like a bad port. At least the framerate is decent, I guess...But Resistance 2 is said to run 720p at 60FPS with AA while this game runs at whatever low res at 30FPS with no AA. Resistance 1 actually looked better than the Haze demo, and that's just depressing...Although perhaps the story will make up for the graphics. Who knows.

I'm probably going to rent it. If I like it, or the graphics turn out to be better than the demo, I might buy it. I just can't justify spending $60 on what looks like a cross-platform game but claims to be an exclusive, and the fact that it isn't being widely reviewed scares me.

Xbox360 resolutions are like there sales they are all upconverted to claim 1080P when it is really 480P upconverted to 1080P.

Initially, was going to get this game, then changed my mind as some media negativity set in. Now that i've played the demo it looks like there might be more than meets the eye in the story. I think this just went onto my to-buy list. Something to keep me occupied between MGS4 and Resistance 2!

Haze broke me. I was such a massive fan of Timesplitters that I didn't believe for one second they could make such a generic, sub-par game. It even had a couple of neat ideas, but nothing that could save it from utter failure.

I learnt a harsh lesson from that game.
