IGN: Siren: Blood Curse Hands-on

The last time Americans battled the creepy/possessed citizens of a Japanese town, the year was 2004 and the game was called Siren. Now, the survival-horror entry to the videogame world has spawned a successor titled Siren: Blood Curse.

It's coming this summer. To the PlayStation Network. In episodes.

Well, exactly how the game's 12 episodes will be doled out is up in the air -- Sony's still trying to figure out if it should be a one game thing, packs of episodes, etc. -- but IGN did get their first chance to kick Siren's tires at Sony's pre-E3 event this afternoon.

I think this will be a game to look forward to.
With the graphics the way they are from what i saw from the demo and the
sound track sounding like something from a Japanese horror film i will have to play this with the lights of to get the full feel of the game.

One thing that's been prevalent now more than ever is video game remakes. Dormant series like Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, and System Shock aren't first getting brand-new sequels but remakes of the classic entries. Horror titles are no exception, with the recent Resident Evil, Dead Space, and Silent Hill remakes.

Putting aside whether these remakes are necessary, most of them are excellent. They can expand and enrich the world with added details, improve gameplay mechanics, or put more focus on the story. Standard remakes will count, but story remakes or reimaginings will also be included.

If Castlevania is there as an Horror Game then Demon's Souls should be there as well.

Also, you might want to add Shadow of the Colossus there too. Where you play as a mass murdering genocidal maniac on a warpath.
