More then a half year ago the DS outsold the PSP by a factor 2:1
At the moment, the PSP is outselling the DS with factor 2:1
(at least in Japan on the latest sales numbers I saw)

First: the PSP was bought because of more functions and the DS was sold about its fun games

At the moment, with God of War, Loco Roco, Patapon, Flow, Echochrome and soonish games like Loco Roco 2 and -fingers crossed- maybe Litte Big Planet for the PSP, its winning on the group of people that before would have bought a DS.

Just see what software does in Japan with Monster Hunter 2. It is pushing the PSP to unbelievable hights in sales

Fun is purely a subjective matter...

I hate it when ppl say "nintendo sacrifices graphics for BETTER and FUNNER gameplay" this is ummmm BS its not like any other company cant make FUN games.

Having said that I think it all comes down to the price and features.....

The real question to consumers
Are you willing to pay the extra ammount for the psp for the extras?

Im pretty sure if the psp was PRICED exactly the same as the ds.... the ds will die out pretty fast.

This applies also to the home console market sony vs ms, vs nintendo
All systems have their games and all but are you willing to pay extra for the features?

was quite awesome.... but to expensive for many vs the competition... and what really killed it was the battery life.... a NO NO for portable devices.
