If this is tru, this just makes the ps3 lineup for 2008 look even better. Enhanced visuals and even comes with the DLC. Damn u lucky fu**ers. I already have this for my 360 but damn they said the visuals will look better then the pc version and 360 version. Lucky bastards. :(

Paid 1 year timed exclusive confirmed. Question is will MS pony up even more money for the same deal on the sequel. Price goes up with every Ps3 sold. Which is the flaw in MS's business plan of buying individual games vs studios. They save money in the short term but long term prospects of such a plan are questionable. I guess we'll see.

People have to make up their mind... if a game is on 360/PC... then it's either considered an exclusive or it's not.. no in between. I've read enough "it's on PC.. so it's not exclusive" comments to know that the "lost another exclusive" rubbish shouldn't even be spoken (or typed in this case)

but in any event... PS3 owners who haven't played Bioshock yet are in for a GREAT game this fall.

I would think this means Bioshock 2 is coming to the PS3. It would be hard to sell 2 if they hadn't sold 1 in the first place. Plus, it's a proven seller so porting it makes financial sense.

Just cause there arent that many games out that are good on the ps3, but If it comes after August then I wont. There are so many games coming this Fall its retarded. I added all the games I wanted and its gonna cost me 1100 dollars to get every title I want this year.

And, BTW...there WASN'T any real DLC, just a couple new plasmids, and another Achievement; I don't know of many people that bothered with it. Oh...and it was FREE.

Any third party who continues to make exclusives for the 360 is missing out on the Europe and Japanese sells from this point on so I don't expect too many more exclusives on the 360 unless MS published it. It makes since to make games PS3 exclusive now and that is why we have MGS4 coming out this year and FFXIII next year. PS3 game sells are on the roll and the system is still the most expensive. When they lower the price imagine how sells will be.

let's look at it this way:the non-biased way.
remember that the ps2 was outselling both ps3 and 360? and probably still is? well u must also remember that on a lot of reports a lot of ppl were still clinging to ps2 for their share of gaming (and with good reason the ps2 had some of the best games of the last gen by the end of its lifetime) and were hoping for the next great thing: gta4. then sony announced the gta4 pack across all pal territories and as far as i've read it seems to have paid out for them. this is one of the factors, the other one is that burnout paradise and dmc4 this year were better on ps3, that was when the ps3 started gaining some momentum. by now things have started to accelerate since mgs4 is less than a month away. THIS is the reason why PROBABLY we will see bioshock 1 or/and 2, because the ps3 is gaining ground and the install base is getting bigger. old games are getting ported, so what? as long as they do a good job on the port it will benefit everyone else(developers,publishers,mic rosoft/sony/nintendo, gamers), get over it gaming is more than ever all about money. you wanna know why some of these games didn't really come out on the ps3 last year? because although some fanboys do not seem to understand it, the ps3 is on it's way to it's second year and xbox360 on it's way to it's third year. last year the difference of numbers on install bases was much bigger and the complexity of the architecture of the ps3. another year has gone by and the studios are feeling a lot more comfortable with the platform. so they've already got the game and now that they understand the platform better they can port it for a lot less work and still make money. i don't know about you but to me that's some good gold-making opportunity.

There are exactly 3 titles on the 360 that as a PS3 owner I'm jealous of:

Well if this is in fact true then its great news for ps3 owners. It would be cool with me if all games went multiplat after a year or 2 so we can all experience them and since not all of us can afford 2 or 3 consoles.

This game doesn't look so great its underneath the ocean big whoop and that what makes it great with its eerie city thats underneath the ocean and the visuals don't amaze me you guys easily get amazed considering how many of you guys are but then again I'm not that much of FPS and plus I've seen to much Unreal Engine 3 games on that system so no visuals impress me on that its like I'm immune to that engine.

Its a great game i played with my girlfriend & She kicked arse with the hacking and making the best cost effective desicions.
Im wondering what they mean by improoved visuals though?
On xbox it was a plastic unreal engine showcase but they could improove the textures because sometimes in the right light the character models looked unfinished.
1 thing is for though, ps3 will get the true 7.1 dolby surround sound & thats a big plus.

I dont understand how the exclusive thing work... when you state that your game goes exclusive to a sertain console it should stay there... not after 3 months you see it in another console too...
Plus i cant recall any exclusive PS3 game becoming multiplatform after some period of time... not a single one...

I been waiting on this. when bioshock fisrt came out I was kinda bummed that the ps3 got left out. I mean the media was all over this game saying how good it was and the xbox fanboys were pionting and laughing at all us ps3 owners. but finally its making its way to the ps3 with downloadable content adn better visuals. Call me crazy but for some odd reason I think the gears of war series is going to be the next xbox gem to slowy make its way to the ps3.

People keep saying that it's coming. I doubt it, but if it does then I'll buy it. I already bought the PC version though, but I stopped playing because I have a 7 series card which takes literally 10 minutes to load a level.

I hope they map R1 as fire and R2 for the tonics and not the other way around, I can't stand R2 mapped as fire buttons in a First Person Shooter.

As far as the rumor comming to PS3 I could care less either way, fun game however low replay value once its beaten. I'd prefer Dead Rising to PS3 way over Bioshock.

i always wanted to try this game.. I heard mix reviews from friends who played it.. But im still going to pick it up.

were the two best games i played last year (though Ratchet and Clank Future is battling for 2nd or third place also), and now i'll get to enjoy both on my Playstation 3.

i thought Bioshock was great, and i haven't beat it yet. i borrowed my roommate's copy until he traded it in, and i was thinking of picking it up for my 360, but i prefer the PS3 controller of the 360 controller, so i'll just pick up the PS3 version if it hits.

of course, there are quite a few really good games coming out on the PS3 this September, i hope i have the time to pick up Bioshock also.

@hazeblaze - No your missing my point. GTA and DMC series have long been a bechmark name for Sony. If you brought either games for these series it was a no brainer it was on the PS1 or PS2. When games for this series came out there was never any reason to say it was exclusive to Sony, becuase everyone already knew that. Well that was until tis generation. You can actually buy a DMC or GTA game on another console other than a PS3. I know poeple who wer going to buy a PS3 just so they could play GTA4, but when I told them they could buy it and play it on their 360 they looked dumb founded. I told them to pick up a PS3 anyways for the other AAA exclusives you will not see on any other consoles. If it is secured by Sony then it's a major addition, no doubt. If Bioshock series had only been released on MS consoles eclusivey for years and Sony secured it then it would be an astronomical achievment made by Sony. Anyways, if Bioshock makes it's way to the PS3; then it's a great thing for PS3 only owners, but Bioshock has not been a MS household name for MS for years, the likes the way GTA and DMC series has been for Sony for years.

and as of Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3 last December, the Unreal Engine 3 has finally been optimized for the PS3, i wouldn't doubt that this title is coming to the PS3 this year.

also, Microsoft DOES NOT own the IP to Bioshock.

2K Games does, and they are free to do what they will with THEIR PROPERTY.

that fact that, a few months ago, they were hiring for PS3 coders, programers, etc, lends a lot more to this story than any other (i mean, you didn't see Kojima Productions hiring for X Box 360 programers, designers, coders, etc back when the "MGS4 for 360" rumors were flying about).

That laughing was directed at all the Xbots that badmouthed me whenever I would predict this would happen! Same thing w/ Mass Effect - another XBOX exclusive that's going to PS3.

To me, this just shows how important it is to have plenty of good in house developers. W/ MS only having 5 its no wonder their exclusives are drying up. Sony won't have this problem because they have like 20 in house devs.

I gotta say if you've never played this game..get ready for one of the best gaming experience ever..plus you have alternate endings depending on what you chose to do in the game..so the replay value is great..hey good news for gamers..i have it for the x360 so i will not be picking it up for the ps3...plus how much better can the game look...its graphics are awesome as is..so any improvement will be minimal.
