Pixels for Breakfast writes: I recently received a Neo Geo X from a friend of mine, and after some quick hacking, I managed to get some CPS 2 games running on an emulator, that when paired with the Neo Geo X arcade stick, offered a pretty close representation of classic arcade games. One of the first I delved into was Capcom’s Strider, an absolute classic that I never had the chance to experience during my childhood.
This cyber-communist-ninja hack and slash has been re-imagined by Double Helix this year for current generation content, and after spending considerable time playing the original, I decided I needed to provide you all a Just The Tip of the opening levels.
In the past two years, Ninja games seem to have made a comeback. ININ, Sega, Dotemu, and others have all thrown their names into the arena. Thus far, the quality of each company’s aforementioned games has been high from what we’ve been shown.
