No people want switch. They need to buy both consoles in the first place. Real gamers and enthusiast like to play games not system wars.

I know a few guys who are considering getting an xbx 1 now just because of titanfall (two of them already own ps4s). The beta feedback was very positive and im certain it will reflect in pre-order nos in the coming weeks.

why would i abandon my powerful console for a weaker console!!!?for titanfall???its fun but not nearly what the extremist are making it to be,if anything it gets pretty boring from being too easy cause of the dumb ai.but to each his or her own

Wasn't a fan of the beta, so no. The only innovative thing about the game is adding parkour to shooting. That part is VERY fun and unique. The rest is what I have an issue with. I hate the bots, the Titans are not very fun to pilot(Hawken is MUCH better for mech battles), not enough game types, games are too short, it uses lag compensation(one of the biggest issues I have with the game), and the guns are VERY generic. This game is supposed to be set in the future and it still uses the prototypical guns seen in COD(they're even still powder based which is a pet peeve of mine for games set in the future).

I give the game props for the parkour fighting but the rest is very overhyped.

no i wont have to switch as i will have the pc version.

There will be lots of games that make players want to upgrade to a new console.

We haven't seen many on the XB1. Maybe NBA2k14?

I can see some people maybe saying BF4 or CoD, even though these run at 720p.

But given what those games are doing, especially BF4, Titanfall is nowhere near attempting.

I don't know why people would spend $499 to upgrade BARELY to the XB1 version of Titanfall, that was made on the source engine, an engine that predates the Xbox 360 console by a year.

Not only that but runs it at 35-45 FPS.

This game is decidedly last-gen.

It may bring a string of gaming ideas from other games into this game, and in the process results in a decently fun game with some weird quirks that need to be ironed out by Titanfall 2, but it really isn't a reason to buy any console.

This game can be ran perfectly fine on many, many old PC's from the last 5-7 years.

There are games with next-gen elements on the XB1. I specifically keep thinking of NBA2k14.

But Titanfall? Not even.

It's like saying 1080p Forza using early last gen forward rendered engine was next gen...because it was on XB1 and ran at 1080p. The simple fact is if it isn't using next-gen graphical techniques or engines....it is not next gen.

Further then that, if it is on last gen consoles, it isn't a next-gen only game or true next gen game.

At least with NBA2k14, it was a separate version then the other NBA2k14 games, specifically designed for next-gen games.

Hey if you were going to buy the XB1 anyways, then you might as well buy Titanfall for it rather then the 360...but if you weren't planning to buy the XB1 anytime soon, I don't see why Titanfall on the XB1 is the game to make anyone make the jump.

Enjoy it on the 360, and wait for a true next-gen game.

Seriously I can't fathom how anyone can consider a Source game in 2014 'next-gen'.

...and yes I played the beta on PC, and may buy it. No...the game is not even remotely close to being revolutionary...and the only people that think that are either ignorant of other options or don't know what the word means.

It is fun, and it will sell millions of copies, but c'mon people lets keep a realistic perception at least somewhat grounded in reality.

For $500, buy yourself an inexpensive gaming PC and that way you can avoid the embarrassment of owning an Xbox One.

Nope. If the 360 version is satisfactory by any means, I'll buy the game. But I would never give up my PS3 or PS4!
I will eventually own an Xbone, Quantum Break and a new Gears will entice...at that point then the upgraded Titanfall.

I was a happy 360 user/owner and to even think of paying close to $600 to go back you truly would be crazy. And to do it for a game?
This is Mico$$$soft being Micr$$$oft paying people to write articles and insult you If you didn't go bankrupt to purchase their product. The PS4 is a gaming machine and a great one at that. Who knows what the Xbox One is?

It really comes down to price. If the game play is similar on both consoles, its hard to a $500 upgrade to play it.

I'm a XBOX 360 gamer and no way i'm buying an XBONE this generation, already bought Titanfall for PC.

I'm an Xbox one owner and I'm perfectly happy with my purchase. Did what is advertised to do very well and Microsoft is doing a good job listening to our feedback. Titanfall is coming out soon and I'm buying plants vs zombies and thief tomorrow. Have a great day folks. :)

Oh almost forgot the topic. Titanfall will convince some people to buy the bundle. Not a ton though. When the price drop comes in combo with Titanfall this fall, that will move a bunch of consoles because of the bigger line up. Fanboys rarely change consoles, hence the term fanboy. Every one enjoy your console and games.

Sure, it's nice to have a killer app. But I'd be pretty shocked that someone who bought a PS4 decides to trade it in for an XB1 based off one game. It just doesn't make financial sense.

Maybe some people will upgrade the 360 to XB1 - but has EA offered any incentive to do so (like a cheap or free upgrade of TitanFall from 360 to XB1 version?). The bundle is a nicer price, so maybe that will sway people.

But I would also argue that if the only difference between the 360 and XB1 version is graphical, then why bother upgrading. Maybe if a 360 version did not exist or the XB1 version offered massive game play or functional changes then it may be more of an incentive.

I'd rather spend a grand on my PC than £400 on XB1

switch? doubt it. but take a plunge on an X1? maybe. PC titanfall will be enough for me (i think for me the beta was fun, but left me hopeful of a future singleplayer based in that world). but i'm all for microsoft trying to add more value. a price drop to under $400 would really do the trick for me, but every little bit helps...
