DGamer Q&A (IGN)

Via IGN: "Earlier today, Disney Interactive Studios revealed that its DGamer service for the Nintendo DS and PC has gone live. This service, which will be a part of each Nintendo DS game Disney Interactive Studios publishes from this day forward, brings forth some very cool, interactive, online features: achievements, live chat with other DGamer users, and personal customizations and unlockables based upon the game they're playing.

We had the opportunity to throw a few questions towards Mark McArthur, development director at Fall Line Studios to find out more about the DGamer service."

Disney Launching Online DS Service

Disney Interactive will introduce a new online DS service called DGamer in May that will enable users to create their own Disney-related DS profiles, make their own avatars, track accomplishments, correspond and trade collected items over the DS wi-fi connection.

The service is only planned for DS, but Disney said it hopes to introduce a similar concept on the Wii in the future. The new feature will debut on The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, due out in May, and Disney expects to release 10 more DGamer titles in 2008.

IGN explains how the service works.
