Meh! Don't have and will never have the hardware the game is releasing on and since I don't game on my PC I will skip this one. Twitch shooters are not my thing anyway. Stopped playing COD after COD4:MW. As far as online games go games like TLOU is more like it. I think I'll fire it up right away.

pedrof934518d ago

Titanfall seems alright, I might give it a shot if ever comes to Ps4.

DeadManIV4517d ago

I might check it out on PC, but Origin......

InactiveUser4517d ago

Personally it isn't looking all that great to me, even if it was on PS4, I'd likely skip it.

I like more of a person vs. person battle (but games like battlefield with tanks, helicopters are OK too if designed right). This person vs mech and especially the low player count padded with bots is what really puts me off of having any real interest in it.

TomShoe4517d ago

It's pretty good. I'll wait until it either

1. Goes on sale for PC ($30 is my price)

2. Gets a PS3/4 sequel

Silly Mammo4517d ago

I had fun playing the PC beta, but I'm not dropping $60 on it at launch. I'd probably grab it at $29 though.

ZodTheRipper4517d ago

Not at all, MGS5, South Park & inFamous make my March.

Titanfall maybe during the summer drought but probably not at all.

Yeah, i kinda gave up on MP after MW3, all games released since seem to be so generic, TF has not changed that for me. I enjoyed the PC beta, but i soon got bored of the same ole same ole after a few hours of play. Think i'll give it a miss, hopefully Destiny does it for me in September.

DigitalRaptor4517d ago (Edited 4517d ago )

I agree though. I have become so increasingly sick of CoD, and Titanfall is similar in so many areas that why would I have any interest in buying it or continue playing it?

This twitch shooter is simply far too easy and casualised (made by the same CoD guys, what can I expect?), a 6v6 bot fest, where I'm killing more bots than humans and the reward for doing so doesn't hold me. And the AI for these bots is so bad that why would they even have them in there, rather than letting real player take their place? Even the benefits of the PC version I played cannot hold me.

Good that it has lots of maps and content, good that it's considered a fun game, but what is it REALLY doing to match the hype we've seen? Because a game simply being fun cannot match that hype alone, it has to be something else. And it's not.

I'll save my anticipation for more ambitious and exciting FPS games like Destiny and Planetside 2 later this year, which are actually doing things worthy of mention. Fortunately my hopes and dreams of what the console I have bought can do is not resting on a single game.

Magicite4517d ago

someday might try this on my pc...maybe...maybe not

MattE4517d ago

Sounds like you are bothered to me.. never mind

insomnium24517d ago

Nah I really am not. The only thing that might bother me is if this game does become a huge success and many more devs want to cater to the same twitch-child-demographic. I played TLOU last night and man oh man is that game sweet as all hell. I want more games to be like that.

Docknoss4517d ago (Edited 4517d ago )

Tttrrrooollliiinnnggg, If you didn't play the Beta STFU. It's obvious your downplaying TF because it's an MS exclusive. I hated COD and only played BF. TF is extremely fun and has allot more depth than COD.

Hanso4517d ago

not really interested in Titanfall
Media is overhyping it imo.

TheOmniGamer4517d ago

I very much enjoyed the BETA and am looking forward to see the full game, should be a very interesting March with Titanfall and Infamous SS, can't wait!

cowboysfan4517d ago

I enjoyed the beta also. I bought an X1 just to play this game. I'm having second thoughts though. I find the X1 to be maddening. I May bring the X1 back and get it for the PC.

pompombrum4517d ago

I've not been this excited for a game in a long long while. I went into the beta with ridiculously high expectations and expected to come out of it disappointed however it exceeded all my expectations and then some. The core gameplay is the most fun I've had in a game since the original Gears of War and like that game, it's going to take me back to my younger years where I'd be gaming until the early hours of the morning not wanting to put it down.

Veteran artist behind Mass Effect, Halo, and Overwatch 2 weighs in on Nvidia DLSS 5

Darryl Linington from Notebookchect.net writes, "The backlash around Nvidia’s AI push and DLSS 5 has opened a broader question in game development. Beyond performance and image quality, veteran artists are now weighing what AI-driven rendering means for authorship and visual control. If a system can add or reinterpret detail after the fact, the issue is no longer just technical. It becomes a question of how much of the final image still belongs to the people who built it."

NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Frame Gen 5x & 6x Come to RTX 50 Series GPUs + Dynamic Multi Frame Gen

The latest GeForce driver introduces DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation 5x and 6x alongside Dynamic Multi Frame Generation to RTX 50-series GPUs. The former increases the number of interpolated frames to 4 and 5 (between every two rendered frames), further reducing reliance on the CPU.

Big corp bowing down to another big corp is nothing more than helping each other. But try any games it doesn't work

Smellsforfree96d ago

I don't mind frame gen but only use it if I'm already >70fps without it. It is kinda nice but if I see any visual artifacts I will turn it off. Whenever I'm playing games on my 120Hz LG C3 I will almost never use it because frame rates >120fps look really bad. I think spatial super sampling is a far more interesting and beneficial tech than frame gen. Boosting 30fps to 60fps with framegen is just garbage.

SimpleDad95d ago

Tvs were doing this 15 years ago with their telenovela effect... Idk how anyone can play with this on.

There is definitely input lag there and artifacts.

CornholioX95d ago

It's commercial how they show it. Typical any company does that.

Goodguy0195d ago (Edited 95d ago )

Frame gen just has too much latency and visual glitches for me, don't think I can ever use it for most games. I'd compare with it on and off and it's a world of difference in the feel. I need the very least input lag in my gaming. Companies should rely on actual optimization. As for potato hardware, I suppose it could have it's use.

Is the AI Push in AAA Gaming Giving Indie Developers A Golden Ticket?

WTMG's Jordan Hawes: "With the advent of NVIDIA's DLSS 5 tools, and the whole debacle surrounding AI usage in AAA gaming, is this new push an opportunity for smaller studios to showcase they are the ones vouching for artistic integrity in the gaming industry?"

They already are. Indie studios are the only developers that constantly strive to publish innovative and experimental experiences. There has been little to no art in AAA gaming, with just a few exceptions.

Yi-Long106d ago

Indie-studios have been showcasing their creative superiority and bravery over AAA-studios/releases for a while now.

Personally. I have zero interest in AI slop in any of my entertainment, so regardless of what Sony, Ubisoft, MS, EA, etc believe the future is, I'm just not gonna touch any of that stuff.

blacktiger106d ago

Everything you said but for me MS is always the problem.

isarai_lee106d ago

One more thing in a long list of things that already give indie Games an advantage

Miacosa106d ago (Edited 106d ago )

In reality a dev having a simplistic tech statck does not really impact the end user experience. If the game is good and worth playing is what matters. In other words some cooks make care if 2 or 3 eggs were used to make a cake but the person eating it doesn't. And in the case of DLSS 5 the chef is soley responsible for the recipe and how its mixed together.
