Pixelitis Picks: Forgotten characters that should return

"With Strider Hiryu having made his return in a brand new reboot of the classic Capcom series this past Tuesday, the publisher has managed to bring back another long-forgotten game character.

While creating new franchises and experiences is certainly something all publishers should strive for, there’s nothing wrong with bringing back a game or protagonist that fans have been clamoring for." - Pixelitis Staff

Strider Hiryu has appeared in all of the MvsC games, not so much long-forgotten as ummm, slightly neglected.

We're definitely long overdue for another Strider game.

The Tenchu crew must sneak again, Onikage's plans must again be foiled

Does Activision still have publishing rights to that?

You know who should get a remaster ( graphical recreation not remake, the gameplay is perfect) ? Goh the crow from Shinobido.
Shinobido is the metal gear solid of ninja games...

Some of us gamers still enjoy 2D games. The likes of UN Squadron, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Final Fight, Strider are all due sequels in 2D. Most of these games would probably run off the same engine. Go back to the 8 bit and 16 bit days and you could pull out a ton of 2D games due a sequel.

lodossrage264d ago

well UN Squadron would probably be the least likely to get a sequel since that's actually based on the old anime Area 88. The name was just changed to UN Squadron when it came west.

But then again, I could be wrong. Cobra is getting a new game

That's a steal for Munch's Odyssey and Stranger's Wrath alone. Not a fan of the other games in the series, but I know some people really enjoy them.

I took advantage of the $1 deal for lost planet 3, strider, bionic commando and mega man. 3 of them run great on my steam deck. bionic commando sadly does not.
