Pop, as the title suggests, is a game where you pop bubbles. But don't be fooled by the deceptive simplicity of this idea; there's more to this game than might be apparent at first glance. First of all, Pop has a timer that counts down and without popping bubbles, the game will end. Create chains of the same coloured bubbles fast enough and you'll quickly become a master at keeping the timer up. The game doesn't end there though.
There are several types of bubbles and game mechanics to consider in Pop besides the obvious ones. Take the power ups for example. Pop the bubble with the radioactive symbol and it expands, taking out all the same coloured bubbles in its path. Pop the target-like symbol, and your cursor grows larger, enabling you to pop more bubbles at once. Pop the bubble with the swirl symbol to temporarily slow time. You can even grab onto a bubble and pump it up by shaking the Wii remote up and down, which after being popped, serves the same function as the radioactive bubble. There are things that don't favour the player though. If you pop a bubble with a skull symbol on it, it will deduct time from the counter, and if you miss bubbles all together, time will be subtracted from the timer as well.

Player Attack: If you wanted to know a little more about how Aussie developers Nnooo managed to become the only self-published Australian developer creating games for Vita, here's your chance. We caught up with Nic and Bruce from Nnooo late last year at GCAP, and chatted all about the company's three major games: Pop, Spirit Hunters, Inc and - of course - escapeVektor. At the time, the company had only just started chatting to Sony about the development deal, instead seeming to pin their hopes on the 3DS version of escapeVektor which was also announced this week. How times change!

GamePron: Regardless of where you live in the world, a bargain is still a bargain, and the Aussie App Sale is certainly packed with great deals. It’s the third year of the Australian-made showcase, and there are already 26 awesome games and utility apps up for grabs.

Evan Campbell reports:
''Nnooo may be a recently established company, but Creative Director Nic Watt and company have big plans. We got the chance to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the WiiWare title Pop, along with details about future titles, the competition and their Pokemon MMORPG concept.''
this scored HIGHER then defend your castle d0_ob
The premise of this game just makes it seem like it costs too much IMHO. I need to look into it more tho since I'm basically judging this book by its cover at the moment.
