I thought they promised an open beta yet again the lies!

megazero124482d ago (Edited 4482d ago )

they never promised an open beta imo. all their tweets only said that there would be a beta. NOT ONCE did vince or abby say open beta.

Eonjay4482d ago (Edited 4482d ago )

Actually they did. (Its super hard to keep up with the changes from week to week but they clear as day said it would be open) Zampella said about 3 weeks ago that there would be an open beta. but its so hard to keep track of all the spoon feeding. They retracted that about two weeks ago but said that the beta would not require a pre-order... and today they said that they would announce Beta details. The day isn't over yet but this is getting crazy. Bungee had their beta squared away months ago.

It was announced on 1/27/2014 by Zempella before being officially retracted about a week and a half ago by Zempalla. I am surprised how little people pay attention to this game's official announcements given the hype surrounding the games.

Eonjay - they actually never did say it was open.

This was the first day it was announced, they never used the words open beta. Just said they had a beta coming and would reveal details soon.

Has Respawn ever lied about ANYTHING?? Or is that just a poor troll attempt?

Eonjay4482d ago (Edited 4482d ago )

They didn't lie. They changed their minds. Its like saying that 3/11/14 360 release was a lie. Things change. Its not always a sign of sinister intentions. Why is everyone so wound tight about his effing game. The only reason I know he is right about the open beta is because I have been actually following Zampella and EA/Respawn. He announced an open beta, then things got complicated and he changed his mind. What is the big deal. What don't people get?

Tedakin4482d ago

I'm about tired of hearing about this beta. Just put the damn thing out already. I've never seen so much "it's coming, it's coming" for anything. It's mid day and still no beta sign ups! DO IT, RESPAWN!!!

Farmassy4482d ago

I need them to announce this soon. I keep checking twitter all day and I hate twitter. I have never used it before this.

I just want to insure that I will get into the beta. I bet you have to have an origin account. I think EA is putting requirements on this that Respawn might not necessarily want. I will do whatever they want to get in though

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."
