I'm with you on that one. Some companies SHOULD focus on remakes aka Square Enix. I try and play early 3D games and just can't. I can play the 2D stuff still but early 3D is just fugly, stuff like FFVII and Xenogears are unplayable and could seriously use an upgrade though I would wager they would have to be completely remade.

FFX HD is likely the most anticipated game for me this spring with Watch Dogs up there too.

If you're a kid of the 90s and lived during the Nintendo and Sega golden era, you might be inclined to want games in HD that invoke nostalgia and endless fun (til that game over screen.)
I want HD remakes of Saturn and Dreamcast games, as well SNES titles and N64 titles.

I think people dont understand what HD remasters and remakes are for example Fable Anniversary is a HD remake and something such as GOW, DMC, ICO and SOTC, KH FFX, and MGS are just HD remasters where they are nothing more than improved resolutions and small tweaks such as improved text and HUD (sometimes a few textures are replaced). These are not HD remakes. I am all for HD remasters or even rereleases as long as they have some age and are easy to produce. HD remakes should not be done unless a game needs it for example IMO RE with the awful controls could use some updating. I cannot play them because sadly I cannot get used the controls. Another reason to remake something would be because of earlier limitations of hardware that maybe a good idea that should be rebooted.

I like HD remakes that are more than just "up rezing". Give me new assets, included DLC or new content that wasn't there originally.

What I don't like are making HD remakes instead of giving backwards compatibility. Nor do I like HD remakes being priced higher than $40.

There are some games that deserve a HD remake....however some of the recent remakes have me scratching my head and wondering why they bothered... *cough* Prince of Persia Trilogy *cough*

They are ok but I would pay damn near full game price for the same game but a true HD/next gen graphics conversion; alas this would be like making a new game as some developers have already stated so my dream for a RE4, Bioshock, GTA san andreas on PS4 is evidently dead in the sand; to be honest it was from the moment I thought about it.

These HD remakes aren't worth it due to their crazy high price for minimal improvement.

I like them , it makes it easier than just getting out my old tube tv to play Ps1-PS2 xbox Games , cuz they look atrocious on an HDTV

Yes and no, yes becuase if you enjoyed a game that much and there high demand for it again then the developers should but lot off effort into remaking them, no because you might already have to game then you would just be buying the same game again

Fable 2 was absolutely stunning as an RPG the characters and the music was so whimsical amazing stuff. I really hope for a new fable. I'm planning on getting the Lockhart for the Xbox games that I'm looking forward to

Fable/Fable 2 were fantastic fantasy rpg but after Fable 3 seeing where they were going I lost complete interest in it. Would love another Fable game but only if it takes notes from what made the first two great.

I don't trust them after Fable: Legends and the rest of their titles being services over actual games. I was in a few of the closed betas for Legends. It's like no matter what they changed, they just refused to ever let players progress at a good rate. Instead they kept trying to coax people into buying premium currency, instead of making the game less predatory. Then they wonder why it was cancelled.

new Fable and the new splinter cell are the games I'm pretty much clamouring the most for.
I agree with the art style.
I think they will modernize it a bit, I kind of hope they do and make it look less "cartoony" I'd really like the world to look vibrant, very deep and very clear,
but I don't think they should step too far away from the basic artistic interpretation,
of how the game has always looked.
{that's really a huge part of its charm}

I recall playing the Fable Legends beta and wasn't much fun with basic game design that relied on asymmetric gameplay as a hook. If there is a new Fable game coming hopefully it goes back to its roots but less childish.

I just hope Fable gets the treatment it deserves, ether a new installment/ Remaster or a prequel. Ether way I’m looking forward to any news regarding Fable.
