SOAP writes "Before I kick start this article, it’s important to know that I am a HUGE fan of the Souls Series (Demon's Souls, Dark Souls) and Dark Souls II looks punishingly delicious. This series never, EVER, disappointed me for whatever amount of money I spent on it. (I bought Dark Souls for 40$ on Steam, it’s probably cheaper now.) It isn't in my intention to shroud this game with my fan boy-ism, it just happens, because I have the utmost respect for this game, and I am about to tell you why Dark Souls II will NOT disappoint."

This feels like the epitome of a 'tepid take'. Dark Souls has always worn its gothic horror influences on its sleeve, it isn't exactly subtle.

dark souls plays around with horror themes without being a straight "horror" game.

bloodborn definitely starts out as that haha.
