Sony MD Talks to Gameplayer

Gameplayer has gone live with an in-depth interview with the Managing Director of Sony Australia Michael Ephraim. It covers a range of topics, including an official response to the Sony Bravia/PS3 debacle.

"The PS3/Bravia bundling deal has been a great success for Sony here in Australia, although we understand that some customers have had trouble getting their PS3s delivered as part of that. Would you be able to comment on any such development?"

I actually read a side story, on that site that made more sense of something confusing a few days ago..
''However, Mr. Ephraim believes there is more to the picture: “If you include the game with the console SKU, the stand-alone sell-thru units of GTA, and you take into consideration the fact that Electronics Boutique does not supply GFK with data on software, but Steve Wilson, the MD of EB, has informed me that the PS3 SKU outsold the 360 SKU in EB stores across Australia; then we moved more copies of the game on PS3.” He has a point: EB Games still represents 70% of Australia game’s retail market and surely had their results been included in GFK’s figures then Microsoft may not have been able to claim that victory.''
I honestly thought it was Sony fud...does anybody know whether or not GFK inlcude EB Figures... becuase 70% is a huge market...

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

Final Fantasy VIII is great and you are always the first to defend it in the comments

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
