The author said "triple A Alan Wake" as if it is already somehow confirmed that a game of which we have only seen a few pics of, is somehow triple A.

Not even confirmed to be Single A. Not even confirmed B. Not even confirmed C. Its trash until proven otherwise. And Alan Wake is not an exception. Trash until proven otherwise.

Alan Wake and Killzone 2 are good examples. Hell, you could even put RE5 and FFXIII in the mix.

Fanboys are going to love this, i dare not step foot in the open zone. Its a shame to it looked realy good, and the xbox needs some great games this year but a delay is not all bad it only gives them more time to improve the gameplay not to mention thoses great graphics.

Yeah to be honest, we should all get used to the fact that games get delayed, on both consoles. I don't think Alan Wake has been getting that much hype though, has it?

Strange how MS has been quite for so long and just last month Shane Kim mentioned a release this year! Oh well it's still not a for sure thing it's not going to make it and I'm sure they will have more secrets even after this show! E3, TGS, ubidays, and xo8 are still upon us so this really isn't bad news other then wanting to see this in motion already!

By the way, when is the next generation Xbox coming out? You know, the one that should have come with Blu-ray (or HD-DVD for that matter) but never did. That has been delayed to like... forever. Will it be 2009 or 2010? Because PS3 came out in 2006 with Blu-ray.

6 more games? You don't even know which games are coming out, and as usual you'll use the straw man argument of citing few PS3 exclusive games that you know of, and perhaps even conveniently forget others that you know of. Since you only have a 360, what would you know anyway?

On 360 there is:

Too Human, Banjo Kazooie, Ninja Gaiden, Viva Piñata 3, Fable 2, Halo Wars, Gears of War, GTA IV exclusive content, Tales of Vesperia

I'm counting Ninja Gaiden despite the fact that it might be Timed exclusive unless Tecmo wants to waste the fine job they did with the Ninja Gaiden Sigma Engine. I'm also counting GTAIV exclusive content as a game despite the fact that we really don't know anything, and in the end it's just an expansion.

I'm also not counting Arcade games nor anything not yet announced.

It's nine games on 360 versus 11 on PS3, despite the fact that I eliminated potential 2008 games for PS3, and added potentially non-exclusive games or put exclusive content for 360 in good light.

In 2009, things look worse for 360. Assuming all these games are delayed to 2009 (Infamous, Eight Days, Tekken 6, White Knight Chronicles, Singstar Vol. 2), 2009 will be too cruel for 360, because Afrika, War Devil, FFXIII, Eyedentify, Heavy Rain, FFVersusXIII, Killzone 2, GT5 and maybe even God of War 3 and the Getaway 3 will come out; Heavenly Sword 2, Jak and Daxter, and Uncharted 2 are also possibilites. I'm also assuming L.A. Noire might be multiplatform.

What will Xbox 360 have? Alan Wake, Halo Chronicles, Halo 4, Killer Instinct 3, Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, Cry on and? More Namco second or third tier timed exclusives? Halo 4 and KI3 haven't even been announced (and who knows if it'll happen), and Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2 are likely to end Multiplatform. Microsoft's first and second party studios have almost disappeared, so what's next?

My bet is that Microsoft just wants to sail it slowly from now on and hit profit so they can reboot the Xbox business in 2012 with a not so powerful Xbox 720 (for the time) in order to mimic the success of the Wii.

Wasn't there a max payne sequal announced? If the next xbox is coming in 2010, then when is that supposed to come out? I'm sure alan wake is coming 2009 so would that mean the next max payne won't come out this gen? Aren't the max payne people working on alan wake?

Not to get off subject, but I just am so excited, so many games for both consoles this year. The one I look forward to on the 360 (which I dont have, but will buy soon) is Fable 2.

I know what it says, but what does it mean.

Meaning ... They made the game for (2)two specific platforms instead of (1)one.

i dont care about delays be it a game being delayed on xbox or PS3 i dont care, but to tell you the truth this game is going to show truely truely what the Xbox can do and well thats baisicly it, when i saw this game running on a hi end PC it looked realy good but that was on a PC i doubt what i saw is even capable on the xbox360, to tell you the truth i think the PC version is allready finished in development but now the developers are trying so hard to get that same level of quality on the xbox, so far no game on the xbox has made me say WOW but this game will truely show what the box can do, even after 4 years if it looks crap then the 360 is crap

There's been more info and trailers about Killzone 2 and it's coming Februrary 2009, but there's been nothing shown about Alan Wake. Alan Wake is probably at least another year away.

Oh no this is poo! I was looking forward to this title! Now there really is nothing to get me excited for my 360. Gears1 was ok but for me was just another shooter and i doubt Gears2 will be any different. NG2 does not appeal to me, and Too Human is really not my type. Maybe Splinter Cell will spark some interest but i`ve never been crazy for the series. I`m a huge racing games fan but the x360 is lacking racing games this year. Seriously i can`t see anything big for my x360 gaming this year. Never mind, as long as i got the ps3 i don`t need to worry.

Fable 2, Too Humam and Alan Wake are the only 360 games that interest me this year.

i may check out Ninja Gaiden 2, but as a rental, as the first one pissed me the f*ck off (i play games to have FUN, not give myself a stroke).

i'm not a Gears of War fan, so Gears 2 doesn't excite me like it does the true fans of the series (i'll still keep my eyes on it, of course, i'm just not sure i'll pick it up day one, if at all).

Banjo...i never played the N64 titles, so i'm not sure about this one. it LOOKS nice, so i'm keeping an eye out for it, but i just don't know.

since this is a 360 story, i'm not going to list the PS3 titles that have my attention this year, but needless to say, it's more than just Fable 2 and Too Human.

i was really, REALLY hoping Alan Wake would hit this year, as it sounds AWESOME. just the type of game i'm looking forward to. it's in that same category to me as LA Noire and Heavy Rain, which ALSO aren't hitting until 2009, sadly.

i'm just really in the mood for a good adventure/mystery game, and sadly, the three that i'm most excited about don't hit for another year. lol.

I suspect this is a deliberate strategy. Seeing how weak the line up of the competition is for this year, it makes sense not to overkill by releasing one too many of their AAA titles this year.
