What do you do, finish your current game or move on to the new one that your entire friends list is talking about?

All available May 5.
I think the only game here for me is Nine Sols. Was always interested in that game.
Good month for me, I wanted that particular footy game and thought it might be due. Anyway who cares, shame about the site I'll miss the comment sections. All the best everyone.
Naughty Dog was reportedly divided on the controversial fate of Joel in The Last of Us Part 2 during the game's development.
I think it was good decision, if he was still alive, he would have been a mascot just like Kratos, drake and many others. These old dudes gotta die for new characters to take center stage with their own storyline. They keep dragging the emotional baggage into many sequels and eventually the story just turns into absolute shit show.
Honestly as much as I loved the game, they could have just not killed him off.
I get it creator vision and all but killing a character that made you millions is just wrong imo. At least have him go down fighting.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.
It doesn't need to be played until finished. It's a player's choice. There is a lot of gamers that likes to buy games just because they're addicted to buying and owning games. Just look at PC gamers that buy at steam store, or people that sign PSN plus just to get a lot of free games they will never play. It's very commom todays days.
Then I fail to see how so many people call themselves GAMERS...if theyre quitting games halfway thru, just to stop and start on another game. I can understand taking a break...but if you never come back to it, then you never finish what you start. That says a lot about a person, too. Do these kinds of people apply the same mentality at work? School? Housekeeping duties?
To me...being a gamer, means more than just PLAYING a game...but finishing it. Seeing it thru. Watching credits roll. Then a perfectionist would come back and do all the extras and side quests in the game.
To each their own, tho.
Once I've seen everything gameplay wise I tend to lose interest. That's why I seem to gravitate towards role players these days as constant upgrading means it never gets stale. The other alternative is a game with a good story like uncharted even though to be fair the gameplay was a genuine mix of different things which meant it didn't get boring anyway.
I suppose if I have the time and I set my mind to it I will play a game until it's done but will rarely stick around for multiplayer as new experiences await. Back to the shop it goes to recoup some of the outlay.
If you buy a game and it turns out you don't really like it then sure, shelf or sell it, but if you enjoy it, why wouldn't you want to finish it?
When I was a kid I wouldn't finish most games because they'd get too difficult for me, but a lot of them I returned to in later years and to complete. Nothing beats seeing the ending for yourself!
If not, than what's the point?
