Can't wait for it just like SWBF3 this will take up a lot of my time.

@truefan1 considering I played both games they are nothing alike in terms of gameplay mechanics or story. oh don't edit your comment you bashed infamous and sony saying that infamous stole ideas if not the entire game from crackdown.

dasbeer884489d ago (Edited 4489d ago )

Come on man, N4G doesn't have a limit for the number of words/letters you can type into the comment box. So please clarify what in the bloody hell is SWBF3? Star Wars Battle Field 3?

Regis4489d ago (Edited 4489d ago )

Star Wars Battle Front 3, I believed there is a 30 second trailer on youtube somewhere.

It's a Hoth trailer clip. Nothing much thou.

andrewsqual4489d ago

This time it will be 6 years in development and be a "Snow Themed" version of the same city yet again.

truefan14489d ago (Edited 4489d ago )

Oh yea, this game could be great with all the time spent in development. MSFT is bringing the games for XB1, great years ahead.

I do believe Infamous is a ripoff, but I realized that was a trollish comment, so I deleted it. I can't harp on ps4 players if I'm doing the same thing. I only had my comment up for like 1 minute lol.

I thought this and Infamous were totally different games. I loved the open world aspect of Crackdown. You could just do whatever you wanted in whatever order. Of course, going straight for the boss usually got you killed without the proper enhancements first.

optimus4489d ago

so one could say that it's a rip off from mega man then right? :p

maniacmayhem4489d ago (Edited 4489d ago )

I have no idea where you got that idea from. But inFamous did not rip off anything from Crackdown. If anything inFamous ripped off Hulk: Ultimate Destruction!

Just kidding!

Seriously though, that was a stupid comment.

WeAreLegion4489d ago

O_o I feel like this is an account you use just to mess with people. Crackdown is a fun game. I'll even go as far as to call it addicting. It's no inFamous though...especially inFamous 2.

They both have a superhero feel to them, but they're nothing alike.

Crossbones4489d ago

inFAMOUS is 10x better than Crackdown

#DealWithIt

MrSwankSinatra4489d ago

infamous plays nothing like crackdown.

guitarded774489d ago

Troll harder.

If you love Crackdown so much, shut up and enjoy the news.

DigitalRaptor4489d ago (Edited 4489d ago )

You hate on PS4 fanboys for the same things that you do, but on a grander scale. Weird. Not only that, but this was a ridiculously stupid comment, no wonder you only have one bubble.

inFamous is nothing like Crackdown and plays nothing like it. Crackdown was great. inFamous has proven itself to be consistently better, but if C3 can reach the lofty heights of the original game, sure bring it on.

Edit: and hahah at you revoking that hypocritical comment. Only just realising it now?

christocolus4489d ago (Edited 4489d ago )

@truefan

I really enjoyed both games but i feel prototype was closer in style to infamous than crackdown and by the way i enjoyed prototype very much. Great game.wish ms would acquire the rights from activision. lt could be huge if properly managed.

Ontopic : if this rumor proves true it would mean great things for the franchise and im really glad the original devs(realtime worlds) are working with ruffian on this.

Regis4489d ago

I agree with you I need a new crackdown game after playing CD2 with my friends on 360 for 8hours a day.

"Former leads from developer Ruffian Games are said to be working on the project, along with former employees of Realtime Worlds, the original Crackdown developer."

That is very good news! I was worried when I saw Ruffian Games but knowing that former employees of the original game are there also puts me at ease.

These guys have a lot to prove after the lackluster part 2.

AnEwGuY4489d ago

Um....Ruffian Games was formed around former members of the Realtime Worlds team that made Crackdown.

Aces174489d ago

Really? 2 More years? I did they just start working on it today or something?

aviator1894489d ago (Edited 4489d ago )

No, I think by then (2016) it would have been in development for around 4 years.

Crackdown 3 going to be awesome

How the DMCA Laws Put Indie Developers at Risk

Filing a false DMCA claim costs nothing, requires no proof, and can destroy an indie game's launch in minutes. Fighting back can cost tens of thousands of dollars and take weeks (if you can afford it at all).

Copyright is copyright. DMCA is a good thing that protects creators IP., revenue and usage. and you can absolutely appeal a wrongful DMCA takedown. It’s happened to me. Was easily resolved.

VGMM90d ago

....I don't feel like you read the article, at all.

Seraphim90d ago

it's a good thing, but it's also long been reported, across a variety of industries and websites, that currently the system is ripe for and full of abuses. From fair use strikes, to matters like the one reported in this article. It's clear the law needs some tooth to punish bad actors and that parameters need to be set in how reports are filed; ie human review of said content and not some AI bot false flagging stuff. As is the system is far to easily abused by those who have motive to suppress and flag content they have no business or right to.

Commentby90d ago

No system will ever be perfect, but there needs to be a review, unless it blatant.

Nevers0ft89d ago

Until there's genuine consequences for this type of abuse, it'll keep happening across all media. DMCA is in principle a good thing, but it needs an overhaul.
