The remarks made by Yahtzee are generally intended to be insulting and funny at the same time. I frankly don't get the joke as I don't associate color with money or buying consoles. Better choice would have been "Not so ghetto as to only own one console" as ghetto has a clear contentation of being poor. But then again, I don't think it is all that funny to make fun of being poor - most college students are poor at some point. Idiots (aka fanboys) are about the only thing I really feel deserve to be mocked.

That logic really does not hold up and I find it really hard to believe that those who find it racist are in fact themselves also racist. a. "White enough" being skin tone
b. "White enough" meaning a way of life. i.e The way in which you act white or black.
c. "White enough" meaning I was only making a joke guys please ligthen up.

As an African-American I was not a bit offended. I am not offended viewing the recent posts of us viewers but sometimes you have to wonder what people are thinking. Like I said before in my earlier post, he was in my opinion making an attempt at humor but failed miserably with some of his listeners. We all have to realize that some may find it offensive and others may not. Just as some may agree with this opinion I have written and some may not. I am sure most will disagree with my opinion but does that really matter? Clicking agree or disagree is the least of my problems in this world. In all honesty the only opinion that should matter is yours. It's always good to listen to other opinions and see different outakes on what someone is feeling on a topic. Being open and objective is key. But if in fact he was not trying to be racist then that's that (we can speculate but we truly will never know). Should he try to apologize. Nope. Why apologize for something you did not do, but what he must do is be aware of his audience and next time do a much better job at his humor. Despite however you want to spin it, if you get half your viewers stating that you were being racist or were not being racist and those who are stating that you were are both from the white and minority background, then I think you definitely have to work harder on clarity if in fact your humor was not intended to be offensive. First thing I ever learned in speech 101 class is that intent does not always equal impact.

*sigh* PEOPLE, there is a difference between RACE and RACISM. I am a black male. I understand this, and I found the comment hysterical. I personally think the only people who would get offended by this are people who belong to the stereotype off of which he is playing, upset because they don't want to admit that they ARE a "stereotypical black person". I grew up in these conditions, it was not fun, but you know what? I did my best to get out. I stayed away from the crap my peers were into, who were also only upholding the "stereotype", I went to college almost solely with student loans, and now I have a degree and a career so that my kids will never have to live through the same thing. The sad thing is, in this country (America), blacks, including many that I was friends with and still keep in touch with, are waiting for some kind of handout, biding their time thinking success is going to be dropped into their laps. IT ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN. You have to work hard to get what you want, and anything else would be an insult to the country, and to our strong, proud race. Here's the truth: there is almost never a case in this day and age where you will be denied a job over a less qualified white person. Here's another fact, blacks have some horrible role models, and it isn't doing anything to help us out that our kids think that we should all act like rappers. You WILL lose out on that interview if you go in with a vocabulary that you picked up from music, act militant to your interviewer, and mumble all of your words in defiance. But don't walk away thinking the interviewer was racist when you don't get the job. I'm Black and I can afford all 3 game consoles IF I WANTED ALL 3 BUT I DO NOT NEED OR WANT ALL 3. I got my 60GB PS3 when it was $600 bucks.

I could have bought a Xbox 360 and a Wii a long time ago, but I don't want either system. The Xbox 360 is too faulty and nearly all the games end up on the PC. The Wii's games are too childish for me.

Even though I owned a SNES, I grew up on the Playstation consoles ever since the Original Playstation and I've only bought Playstation consoles since then and I only will buy Playstation consoles and that's the bottom line because I said so.

Buying a Xbox 360 and Wii is just a waste of money to me when I already have a PS3.

I'm really not offended by that remark either because I know what I can afford and what I can't afford, and somebody's color has nothing to do with it.
