I must have played a different beta because I found it enjoyable. One thing I don't understand from the article is the statement that most players think PvP is the reason for the game. Who would look at Elder Scrolls and think PvP rather than story and environment and lore?

i played it quite a bit in the last 2 betas and i was impressed. the first test was buggy and very poor but the next test was extremely polished in comparison and very well done i thought.
the crafting system seemed very cool and a mix of mmo and these new survival games type of crafting in a way.

i feel like i had a completely different experience than this guy had..... as if we didnt even play the same game

Sounds like a train wreck

played the beta, and it was way better than I first thought, but I am more into the exploration of the whole of tamriel.(especially summerset isle and valenwood) Not that into that kind of mmo's with the grinding and pvp. But still 15 bucks a month for just exploring isn't worth it for me.

It's more or less unanimous that this game has very little going for it.

It may or may not be a good game, in the end I do believe the monthly subscription will kill it.

Honestly. I HATED IT.

Nothing remotely impressed me about the game. I've played tons of mmo games and ESO just didn't excite me one bit. Dull gameplay.

Elder Scrolls is a single player game, shoe horning it into MMO form is going to spell disaster. I personally can't stand MMO's, I deal with people enough in my work/social life and gaming is my "alone time".

This article just says why ESO is not like World of Warcraft.

He starts off by saying he's a fan of the TES series and then complains about everything that makes up the TES games. The greatest part of TES to me is that I am not forced as a mage to never pick up a bow. That's why I love the TES games is no matter what you choose you can still do whatever you want.

Freedom of choice... which also means lots of other people can choose the same thing.

Also the character creation was about the same to TES so what did he expect.

Not a huge fan of MMO games anymore but other than go hear and kill that or grab six of these what other type of quests are there?

To me he wanted this to be like other games and less like the TES. This last beta was way more fun to me than the first one I was in. I have yet to play many RPG especially MMO that isn't full of grinding. How else do you build skill points. That's kind of how life is in general. When you learn a skill in life usually it's by grinding and repetition and you start getting better.

IDK, The beta was more fun this time and to me has a bit of fun to offer and chooses to stay more focused on its TES than a normal MMO so to each thier own but don't say your a huge fan of TES and then hate what TES does since it doesn't conform to the normal MMO.
