I tried to download it today and when it finished and went on to installing it, it said it was download again but hung there for half an hour. Need less to say I'll be leaving it and laughing at microsoft for failing with windows yet again.

What? MS fails because it cant magically put files on your computer without downloading them?

Huh?

This story isnt even fcuking accurate. "XP SP3 crashes AMD machines" is wrong and stupid. Its sensational garbage headline.

If you bothered to read the article, you'd know that this is a problem caused by OEMs (HP) installing the incorrect driver for the CPU.

"The problem is that HP, apparently along other OEMs, deploy the same image to Intel-based computers that they do to AMD-based computers. Because the image for both Intel and AMD is the same all have the intelppm.sys driver installed and running. That driver provides power management on Intel-based computers. On an AMD-based computer, amdk8.sys provides the same functionality."

MS fail because they can't get updates to work on their own OS. And when they do finish downloading it can't find the files and trys to download it again but crashes.

Every thought maybe your computer is just f*cked up Vip3r?

Because XP3 installed with ease on my computer and 100's of thousands of other peoples computers. So it's obviously a problem with your computer.

Read the article tool.

HP (and some others) used the same OS image to build both AMD and Intel boxes, as a result, they installed the wrong driver for CPU power managment;
