Don't Starve | Codec Moments

Don’t Starve is a spin on the survival horror and resource management genres whilst simultaneously hailing back to the isometric adventure games of old, and developed by KLEI Entertainment. It brings to mind what would happen if Command & Conquer met Alone in the Dark and they decided to build their perfect world with the aid of a random number generator. Originally launched for PC and Mac in April 2013, it’s hit the PlayStation 4 as the first offering of the 2014 PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection, and even though the lovely “free” price tag is there, and there are still very few PS4 games out, is it worth playing?

After playing the PC version of dont starve a lot and now trying the PS4 version because it was free on PSplus , i have to say the control method is far better on the PS4, i went back to the PC version last night and found it so much harder to play for e.g fighting things i found to difficult on the pc when going in hitting the mob and then running back out to avoid taking a hit, general gathering to me seems a lot easier on the console as well.

Weird because I didn't notice a difference while playing them both. Works just as well for me on my 360 pad as a ps4 pad from what I've played.

Probably because you used Pads on both versions and maybe MRMagoo was just using the Keyboard/mouse. I kinda have the same feeling towards Diablo 3. I don't know why but Im enjoying it a lot more in my PS3. I dont understand why and I cannot give a solid reason, I just do.

Like dannycr said, i play my pc games with K/M i dont use a controller, the whole interface works differently on the PS4 version compared to the pc seems easier to control and manage. The same as diablo 3 , it is imo far better on the ps3 and 360, i have 4 characters at max lvl on the pc version, so i have played it pretty much to death but the console version just plays better.

this game is surprising addicting.

Yes it is. I keep trying to beat my own records. The different characters give more replayability and the randomly generating world inspires a burning need for exploration and discovery.
