USA Pre-Order Chart 01/04/14

The newest pre-order chart for week ending January 4th, 2014.

If these numbers are legitimate, looks like the interest for Titan Falls is strongest with X1. That would indicate that it could be a possible system seller.

No one pre-orders a game if they don't have a console yet. These pre-order charts tell us nothing about systems sellers.

To be fair, there's really no need to pre-order games anymore, unless you want the pre-order bonus if there is one.

It's not hard to walk into a store and pick one up. Game discs aren't hard to make. Consoles are.

In the words of Eric Cartman:

Titan Fall will give X1 a boost in sales, but that's by no means my definition of a system seller.

A system seller was like MGS4 when PS3 sales jumped to almost 1 million in the Summer when it was only 545,000 the previous month to 908,000 in June of 2008 when MGS4 released.

No, this is just the USA pre order charts, if you don't know already First Person Shooters are the most popular games in America. I actually see inFamous Second Son selling more worldwide than Titanfall worldwide.

CoD ghosts for xbone had more pre orders than titafall does in the same amount of weeks left prior release. Does that mean ghosts was a system seller?

What is the game most XB1 owners and PS4 owners bought with their next gen systems? ... Call of Duty Ghost.

So yea ... CoD is a system seller. You can hate the gake all you want but the sales charts all show that Ghost was THE game both Sony amd microsofts fans picked up with their new consoles.

Also no offense, but you gotta be less than smart to pre-order Titanfall for the 360 without seeing any gameplay at all. For all you know the only similarities could be 6vs6, 720p, and 60fps.

More info = More sales

Every time we get more info on a game, the sales increase. (Obviously)

Microsoft needs to keep Titanfall in the spotlight and Sony needs to keep inFamous in the spotlight. That way, they can ensure the first must-have exclusives on their systems push sales.
