This game is in the bargain bin before its even released. Aaaaaand just like that the hype is dead.

JohnnyTower4524d ago

Get back to me when the game is released. Aliens hasn't had the strongest franchise in history.

curtis924524d ago

@JohnnyTower true but I'm basing my excitement on what I've seen so far, not based on a track record of some other developer's previous take on an Alien game. This actually looks like the proper spirit of the Alien franchise. I'm not saying it will be great, but that it looks promising.

Dude do you know that I usually pay 35% less for most released PC games?

Thanks for linking that site!

I love it when I find a great deal from a CD key site. Black Flag for £16!?!?! Please officer, put the handcuffs on now before I'm tempted :3

+bub for helpful!

@Johnnytower: I think your not giving this studio any chance over what other studios had done with the property. One great exsample is the Batman games. They were not that great at all but once Rocksteady got a hold of the property we got Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Just need to try and give these guys a chance and see what they can bring to the Alien universe.

Kane224524d ago

oh wow i didn't know this game is $50-$60 game....

Double_O_Revan4524d ago

Neither did I. Since it seemed like a bigger version of Slender, I assumed it would be a downloadable game for around $40.

Activemessiah4524d ago

Shows how much faith they have for it.

Allsystemgamer4524d ago

This is. Preorder incentive. Steam does the same thing with most new releases.

Gigaguy7774524d ago

Except Steam usually does 5 or 10%, not 25%, that's massive for a game that isn't even out. Linch is right, no faith for this, and with good reason too.

impet254524d ago

Gmg has this sale on pretty much any new pc game its what they do 4 attention. 25% off coupon that u apply at checkout on any game even preorder s.

I pre-ordered this on Shopto for PS4 after watching the walkthrough.

The Best Alien Games (To Play After Watching Alien: Earth)

An opinion piece on the best Alien games. From arcade Alien vs Predator action to a terrifying Xenomorph stalker, these are the best Alien video games starring Ridley Scott’s chestbursting, acid-blooded nightmare.

FTLmaster289d ago

Got a soft spot for AvP (2010) but solid list nonetheless.

Abnor_Mal288d ago

My favorite Aliens game also, having the three campaigns to play was great. Scaling walls as an alien waiting to ambush anyone that came too close.

Only played a little of the horde mode but was still fun.

Nittdarko288d ago

Aliens Fireteam Elite was my GotY in 2021, single player was kinda bad but playing that game 3 player with friends was so good and really challenging on higher difficulties

Massive shout out to Aliens Vs predator 2 (2001), a dialup lag filled fun mess in multiplayer and 3 great campaigns

I played through most of the PS4 version of the game but stopped because another game came out. I bought it last year for PC with the intention of using the VR mod but haven't gotten around to setting it up. I am glad I waited.

Neonridr366d ago

Great game, even better in VR. A little drawn out by the end, but I hope we see CA do something a little different with the sequel.

OtterX365d ago (Edited 365d ago )

Sweet. I also rebought this game on Steam for the purpose of VR. I'll have to give it another shot w full immersive controls. I had only tried it out briefly before.

It's funny this was never officially released at retail as a VR game, bc it feels so perfect for it!

10 Years Ago, Alien: Isolation Came Close to Being The Perfect Organism

The Alien franchise has had a long history in video games, but few games have come quite as close to being perfect as Alien: Isolation.
