After the disappointment that was PES2014, I honestly don't care anymore.

ZodTheRipper4495d ago

You must be joking. Yes, PES2014 was bad BUT it was clearly limited by last-gen hardware. I'm sure PES2015 will be a huge improvement now that they have enough power. I played FIFA14 on PS4 for 3 weeks and sold this piece of crap, PES is just so much better in terms of gameplay.

iceman064495d ago

The only disappointment, IMO, was the stuttering right around the goal line. It's like the game knows when the ball is approaching and just stutters like crazy. However, that has been fixed. Now, it's just PES...love it or leave it. I happen to like the feel of the game over FIFA.

Meh , even if 2015 could be awesome , remain one big major issue . Konami is incapable of reacting quickly to patch promised issues and missing content .

What will be the point when summer transfers will be done at the end of november ? And when modders will have to wait for the initial dlcs and patchs , to start implementing their much needed changes , faces and squads ? And i dont even wanna get started about their little dance with adding removing modes , both offline and online

iceman064495d ago

I agree that PES had some issues. I think a LOT of those were related to the engine. From all reports, this was a next gen engine and I think that they spent a significant amount of time trying to squeeze everything they could onto current gen. You can see the potential of the engine in the game. I also agree that they really need to flesh out the modes. Hopefully, the engine is ready for next gen and they can focus more on content this time around.

Baka-akaB4494d ago (Edited 4494d ago )

Except imo the real prob is neither engines . Whatever the one used there'd be issues or missing licenses or players .

The probleme is again that Konami is useless for patchs and transfert dlc releases . Who cares if they iron well the kinks of the engine on ps4 , if when needed , when modders will need a suitable base to pump out their unnoficial transferts , the thing every pes player uses and await ... and it wont be there for MONTHS .

None of the still dedicated modders is going to release their stuff at release only to see it ruined by the transfert dlc , so they wait for it first , and it takes too long .

Then you've got the gameplay fixes and patches . Every year since at least 2010 .. even when somehow a portion of the fans were satisfied with the game , they managed to release a patch or two ruining the game instead of fixing what's amiss .

So no it's not just engine related . That was just the excuse for 2014 .. while rooted in their constant bad habits . It's useless to have the better gameplay ,(and now best animations and graphics) , if you are going to ruin the game every chance you get

"Confirmed" do we need that word to confirm that PES is confirmed?
"PES is confirmed yearly released" there I fixed it for you.

Just hope Konami can make it look like a true nextgen soccer game unlike EA.

nerdeu4495d ago

FIFA 15 and PES2015 will be the first TRUE next-gen iterations of football gaming. I prefer FIFA but I envy Konami because they have all the UEFA-licenses and some impressive animations with the FOX Engine. But otherwise I think FIFA will have the upper hand. Let the games begin!

NYC_Gamer4495d ago

EA will always have the upper hand with FIFA long as they hold most of the exclusive deals with leagues and etc

iceman064495d ago

FIFA will remain on top for most. It has to most complete representation of the global game. By that, I mean that you have access to the most players, uniforms, stadiums, and teams. However, the FOX Engine has shown that it is really great at handling the physics and animations. Transitions between animations, especially those that are physics based, seem to be way more fluid on PES. Plus, I have always loved the flow of the game in PES. FIFA, IMO, plays more like 11 v 11 hockey...which is fun. But, PES isn't as deliberately hurried. Just my take. I like both games and usually rotate between them. Next year is supposed to be FIFA's turn. We shall see if PES can pull me in.

Konami shuts down PES 2015 servers

The online service for Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 will be terminated.

bouzebbal3614d ago

Already??? Seriously Konami?
I actually prefer PES to FIFA, but no more PES for me after what Konami has become.

Goldby3614d ago

theres a free Pes2016 game for ps4 if you have that

Godmars2903614d ago

Until they shut down the servers for that. Which could be next month.

freshslicepizza3614d ago

ea also shuts down servers to some of their older games and so has sony. sony shut down socom 4, resistance games and even gt5.

ecchiless3613d ago

And here he is, the article is talking about pes and konami, but sure lets bring ps servers to this topic, sure he talks about ea servers to sound fair..... smh

hay3613d ago (Edited 3613d ago )

While it's their choice to do that I hate when servers go offline. I whish every game would support dedicated servers so that community would exist after the game stopped being supported.

freshslicepizza3613d ago

it is to show that this isn't immune to just konami whom so many want to pick on now that what happened to kojima and their new focus into mobile gaming.

And if fifa 17 this year is using the Frostbite 3 engine and showing gameplay improvements making use of the engines benefits (including the referees and goalkeepers, and other realism improvements such as the managers coming out into their box rallying the team on, the fourth referee, net realism, better particle effects in rain, snow or foggy conditions etc) then PES could be on the back burner again.

Quickstrike3614d ago

#Youknowwhatgoeshere

Konami: Noun; joke of the gaming industry despite being at one point highly praised.

TwoForce3614d ago

What ? The game was about 3 years old and you shutting it down ? Really, Konami ?

hay3613d ago

One year and six months old. Officially gaming have dropped below 2 year support time.

Shubhendu_Singh3614d ago

FIFA just got a new Frostbite engine treatment...
So in response Konami shuts down their only 1 year old servers.

Keep winning Konami. You know what gamers want !!

Jamaicangmr3614d ago

Nice move Konami. I see you enjoying ruining this once mighty brand.
